Found out today at church that a young man in our area has been listening to your podcast. He is only a teenager. Never been to church in his life. Parents are not believers and have never had God in their household. However THIS teenager accepted Jesus listening to Phil. Then Phil had said he needed to get Baptized and into a church, so he Googled nearby churches and came up with ours. Evidently he called into the church office last week wanting Baptized. Our pastor met with him and then told us today in the sermon all about it. That young man is getting Baptized this coming Wednesday. Praise the Lord! I thought you all would like to know.

Love the hurricane update. April, 1997, we loss electricity in an all electric farm house for 8 days in rural north ND. Severe snow storm brought negative 10 degrees. We had camping equipment and two 20 lb. propane tanks w/sunflower heater. We had a large snow bank we melted for drinking and washing water.

We went through a Derecho on August 10th. All my husband said as it was happening was, "Honey if you want to know what a hurricane is like, it just happened." After 14 days of no electricity the best thing was we got to know our neighbors and it felt great to help others when they were in need.
I watched White Ferry road church this morning. I saw the crown of thorns in the back ground. I realized that our leader choose to wear thorns as a crown and did his greatest leading while nailed to a cross. That's not normal, but He set the bar, all we've got to do is trust Him.
Hey ya..yes hurricanes can definitely make you think twice about living on the coast! I’m in Wilmington NC and we’ve had our fair share..Florence in 2018 whoa...Samaritans Purse used our church as their mobilization center, to reach out and help our community! They were amazing! Generators are a must too! You prepare and hope for the best...and remember God is with you no matter what storm in life you’re going through. 😉
Just an interesting note for you guys or anyone reading this on the "easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle" section. The "eye of the needle" was a very narrow and short gate entrance built into ancient city walls. It was built for men to pass through, but was meant to prevent the cities being assaulted through large main gates where hordes could enter all at once. In order for merchants, etc. to pass through the eye of the needle with their goods, he had to coach his camel onto its knees and scoot forward to get through. Fun fact for the day. :)
Save this tip for the future power outage!!! I have like 12 cheap solar landscape lights from WM (.94/each) and charge them during the day for lights at night. They don’t get hot and put out a LOT of light. I started doing that after Hurricane Gustav. Hello from SE Louisiana.

But, if you wanna get down to the point of the Bible, which is Gods redemption plan for mankind, than yes it takes a level of faith to believe in it as truth. But I have first hand account of believers who were with him, and I have studied other world religions and none of them are like Christianity. They are all works based, which is a total human idea. I was a motorcycle technician ATVs and side-by-side‘s and we got a shipment of four wheelers made in China we would find the carburetors hadn’t even had holes drilled out . My boss sent them back but you will see them on the side of the road selling them and I see them coming through the door . I could Fix them but the labor cost more than the machine and I’ve run into the generator too. In my 15 years working there I only had one Generic I just had to clean the carburetor the lady said it had only came on one time in 5 years. They are Worth every penny they are good. I've only used twice since we bought it, but have serviced it and bought extra service parts and fuel. Bottom line is: if momma ain't happy, ain't noooobody happy! There are two teenagers in my family, 15 and 18, who are suffering from extreme depression due to all the school restrictions. My sister forced her eighteen year-old to get a haircut, because he'd decided it was useless to do it. My 15 year-old nephew in California who'd been active in soccer won't get out of bed. He hardly eats, and it's hard to get him to do his online schoolwork. He says he has no future, thanks to Newsome and his lockdown.

Neighbors got a permanent Generac generator that runs the whole house. About 3 to 5 grand and runs on the piped gas to the house. My next purchase because living near Houston TX. and Hurricanes.

The "needle" was an escape route in the Jerusalem wall. It was tiny to be sure, so they could escape with a camel, but the camel had to lower to get through it, again, ironic in God's way. A rich man must have a humble heart and rely on God and not on his money!
At around 33 minutes Al is extolling the presidents recovery from COVID. Please remember he had the best medical care in the world. Not sure many 74 year olds have that level of care.

You poor boys. I wonder if you guys have a propane camp stove? Do you have the old fashioned coffee percolator that you sit on an open fire to brew coffee or heat water for hot cocoa? Unfortunately this old lady lives in town, but I have my camp stove, propane lanterns and hurricane oil lamps, along with the old fashioned percolator for making my coffee, but I do not have a generator (we hardly ever lose power and if we do it's no longer than a few hours. No hurricanes in the desert). I couldn't afford a generator anyway. Phil and Si needs to teach you boys a few things. LOL! But, you'll learn and I think you will be happy when you realize how easy it is. I just love your family. Thank you all for your pod casts. I am always looking to learn more about the Bible. Can definitely our beloved duckmen aren't use to hurricanes. Rightfully so being they are in North LA. I get tickled listening to them talk about no power for 3 days. 3 days😂. Lord love them but they wouldnt last long if they lived on the coast during a hurricane. Al talks about no power for 3 days while having 3 small grandchildren in the home. Try 3 adults and a 5 yr old living in a 40ft camper for 6 months because there is no home, much less electricity or water. For 6 months my parents, myself and my son lived in my dad's camper while on a waiting list for a FEMA camper for me and my son. And out of that 6 months, 3 or 4 months of that was living off a generator for power. It took that same amount of time if not longer to get running water. It took over a year to get back in our homes. But... With all the displacement, loss and frustration... Our God pulled us through. Many good people came from all across the country to help our coast neighborhoods clean up and build back. People who had servant hearts and a heard the call from God spent their own vacation days and/or took leaves of absence from work to help a bunch of strangers thousands of miles from the comfort of their own homes. It was an amazing testimony to the power of Love God and Love your neighbor❤

I lived a good moral life, love my wife, served my community, my church, etc. according to karma and other religions then my good works and actions will be counted, but if Christianity is true, than unbelievers will be eternally separated from God. And I believe in this truth of Jesus so much. I can’t take that chase of not being with God, so I believe it by faith, and will do so till I fall asleep (die) and awake to meet my savior.
@@1jeepcam when did I say that I didn’t believe in wearing masks or science? And I do not put Phil on a higher level than any other Christian. My savior is Jesus Christ not Phil Robertson. Believe me, I know Jesus and he is lord of my life no one else. And Phil isn’t telling you to go jump off a cliff, or to not wear a mask because it doesn’t work. His overall idea is this “No Matter what you wanna do to try and stay alive, the fact is your going to die one day, regardless of age, illness, injury, accident, etc.” all of us will die one day COVID or no COVID. All Phil is trying to say is if you truly want to live for ever and you must have your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. Look I don’t wear a mask for my health. I’m a young guy, I could care less if I got this virus, and if it kills me, so be it. To live is Christ and to die is gain. I only wear a mask to be respectful of others. I wouldn’t wear one everyday if I didn’t have to to go inside of places. And Dude Jesus is my lord and Savior, not Phil Robertson, and I am not drinking any koolaid. If Phil Robertson said something unbiblical and untrue today I would stop following him. But he teaches straight out of Gods word. And I read it for myself every single day.

I was a motorcycle technician ATVs and side-by-side‘s and we got a shipment of four wheelers made in China we would find the carburetors hadn’t even had holes drilled out . My boss sent them back but you will see them on the side of the road selling them and I see them coming through the door . I could Fix them but the labor cost more than the machine and I’ve run into the generator too. In my 15 years working there I only had one Generic I just had to clean the carburetor the lady said it had only came on one time in 5 years. They are Worth every penny they are good. Thats right Phil, Generac all the way! I bought one as soon as practical when we returned from Japan in 2011 after the big earthquake. I've only used twice since we bought it, but have serviced it and bought extra service parts and fuel. Bottom line is: if momma ain't happy, ain't noooobody happy! She loves her creature comforts, and I love her!

It’s a pain to have our power shut off ,& we had to by water, I’ll be taking car of the water problem next, with a life saver Jerry can & I’ll refill water btls ahead of time next time!

There are two teenagers in my family, 15 and 18, who are suffering from extreme depression due to all the school restrictions. My sister forced her eighteen year-old to get a haircut, because he'd decided it was useless to do it. My 15 year-old nephew in California who'd been active in soccer won't get out of bed. He hardly eats, and it's hard to get him to do his online schoolwork. He says he has no future, thanks to Newsome and his lockdown.

Neighbors got a permanent Generac generator that runs the whole house. About 3 to 5 grand and runs on the piped gas to the house. My next purchase because living near Houston TX. and Hurricanes.

The "needle" was an escape route in the Jerusalem wall. It was tiny to be sure, so they could escape with a camel, but the camel had to lower to get through it, again, ironic in God's way. A rich man must have a humble heart and rely on God and not on his money!

You poor boys. I wonder if you guys have a propane camp stove? Do you have the old fashioned coffee percolator that you sit on an open fire to brew coffee or heat water for hot cocoa? Unfortunately this old lady lives in town, but I have my camp stove, propane lanterns and hurricane oil lamps, along with the old fashioned percolator for making my coffee, but I do not have a generator (we hardly ever lose power and if we do it's no longer than a few hours. No hurricanes in the desert). I couldn't afford a generator anyway. Phil and Si needs to teach you boys a few things. LOL! But, you'll learn and I think you will be happy when you realize how easy it is. I just love your family. Thank you all for your pod casts. I am always looking to learn more about the Bible. Can definitely our beloved duckmen aren't use to hurricanes. Rightfully so being they are in North LA. I get tickled listening to them talk about no power for 3 days.
3 days😂. Lord love them but they wouldnt last long if they lived on the coast during a hurricane.
Al talks about no power for 3 days while having 3 small grandchildren in the home.
Try 3 adults and a 5 yr old living in a 40ft camper for 6 months because there is no home, much less electricity or water. For 6 months my parents, myself and my son lived in my dad's camper while on a waiting list for a FEMA camper for me and my son. And out of that 6 months, 3 or 4 months of that was living off a generator for power. It took that same amount of time if not longer to get running water. It took over a year to get back in our homes.
But... With all the displacement, loss and frustration... Our God pulled us through. Many good people came from all across the country to help our coast neighborhoods clean up and build back. People who had servant hearts and a heard the call from God spent their own vacation days and/or took leaves of absence from work to help a bunch of strangers thousands of miles from the comfort of their own homes. It was an amazing testimony to the power of Love God and Love your neighbor❤
Really important to have faith in god in these times he is our protector and savior ( and he feeds us too ).
