Is it normal for an ultrasound tech to rest their arm on your breast and nipple during the exam? I had one that just did this and it felt awkward, but now I'm wondering if he actually violated me. I was stressed about my cancer and I had just had a disagreement with him and I was afraid that fighting would interfere with me getting fast results.

This make me think that tons of perverts are exploiting this awful oversight to molest many women a day. I know my screen name might make you think I'm being silly, but I mean, think about it. There should be something laid over women's chests or other parts if touching it isn't necessary. It can be angled in a way that doesn't interfere with reaching the part. I'm so upset that people don't think about this. Medicine is so full of old fashioned, dumb, sexist practices. Ps thank you for responding.

Hello - as an ultrasound technologist, I often rest my arm on the patient to stabilize my scanning hand, regardless of which body part I'm scanning.
