MBTA Boston Buses

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority operates a large number of bus lines in the greater Boston area. Some routes are for transport within the city; others bring passengers from surrounding areas to stops on the rail lines (commuter or subway) of the MBTA.

Kevin Black, when you're in any city that gets snowy winters the buses are going to get dirty like that from all the slush and muck on the roads while rolling up and down their routes during the course of the day lol....the same thing happens in here in Chicago with city buses after a recent significant accumulating snow

A lot of these MBTA buses seem narrow once you get inside. A couple of years ago I had to use them to get back and forth for medical appointments. I think these things are much narrower than my college days in the '70s. Maybe they downsized to increase fuel economy, I don't know.

Those older buses are mostly retired but they still use them for Route 111 but it's super rare. But all of the older buses are still at the bus terminal just sitting

All MBTA RTS buses were removed from service by late 2018. All were removed for scrap by late 2020. One was kept as an historic bus. @@knightclassic1
