Rhema!. Such a beautiful teaching with clarity. I bless the name of GOD with his mouthpiece. Grace to do accordingly to the commandment of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
I thank God that because my parents lived such a holy life I get to have such a boring testimony. I always belived in God because why not? And I never had to get to rock bottom to turn to him. I'm thankful that that's my testimony.
Pastor Daniel, Thank you for allowing us to leave comments. I feel like I have someone to talk to. I also appreciate the verse from James because I have been sick for a while. The Lord uses you to speak into my life. As I was reading over the scripture, 1 Kings 18:6, the phrase "by himself " caught my attention. You have taught us that every single word in the Bible is purposeful. It's so true. I have been astonished of how noisy the world is right now. We are bombarded by music. There is music playing in every store you shop. Walmart Blairs music out into their parking lots. There is even music at the gas pumps now and in my office I am forced to listen to secular music all day. I feel like I am in a night club all day. It grieves my spirit to death. I am trying to get the courage up to talk to my Supervisor about it. Pray for me. The enemy tells me I am overreacting, but it matters what we hear because it goes into our hearts. Even if it's gospel music, we all need a time of stillness. GOD said in Psalm 46:10, Be still and know God. That is why "by himself " stood out to me. The moment that Obadiah got off to himself, he received A word from the LORD. We desperately need to hear from God. I am trying to make a conscious effort to get up as early as possible to be still. In one of your sermons you said we need to gather the manna early before it melts. That is so true. Sometimes I read at night but it's not the same. The other point that stood out to me was that Obadiah was afraid to carry out God's instructions. I find the same thing is true about myself. I fear too much what people will say or do to me. I have learned so much from your sermons. Thank you. Love and prayers for you and your family. ❤
Thank you for the introduction to Obadiah. I have read this chapter before. Clearly I missed the chapter or did not fully understand about Obadiah's role. God bless.🙂
