JACLYN Misch from Michigan was diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome (MRKH) when she was 16 years old. Jaclyn’s diagnosis revealed that she was born with her ovaries intact but without a uterus and a fully formed vagina, meaning that she would be unable to get pregnant. MRKH has affected Jaclyn throughout her life, growing up as a young woman she felt different and was confronted with questions about her own womanhood. Despite her condition Jaclyn has always been determined to be a mother with her loving husband Jon. Together the couple have struggled through failed IVF and surrogacy attempts but are now excited to welcome their child thanks to Jon’s cousin Kelly acting as their surrogate. Jaclyn said: “Something that I wish people knew about MRKH syndrome is that it doesn’t make me or anyone diagnosed less of a woman, just because you can’t give birth to a baby, there are many other ways to mother."

For those of you confused: The eggs are jaclyn's, the sperm is jon's, the cousin is just the body in which It Will grow, no DNA of hers is involved. The child is 100% biologically Jaclyn's and Jon's.
The baby don't "just grow" in his cousin. The cousins blood goes to the baby, her antibody and such. So actually the baby is getting the cousin's DNA as well.

So happy she gets to be a mother. Kelly is a wonderful selfless person for doing this. I am a birthmom. I was born without 1 ovary n half of my uterus. Thankful I was able to have 3 healthy full term pregnancies.

Check out Natural Fertility Info, they have a TH-cam channel and website. Many women who have PCOS and other hormonal issues are getting pregnant through natural means. I have PCOS myself and have been helped a ton by following their diet and lifestyle recommendations. Good luck, I know it’s really frustrating at times!
Now this was a wonderful Inspiring happy positive story ! I’m so glad this family found a way to have a baby . Just because a woman has a birth defect and can’t have children does it mean she wouldn’t be a great mom . Life found a way ❤️

@@Anthony.and.Bigsis where did you get that idea? She stated clearly in the video that she has ovaries, just not a uterus. A fertilized embryo can be implanted in the surrogate, which is what Jaclyn and Jon did in this situation. For those of us who have kept up with Jaclyn and Jon’s story ever since they competed together on Survivor, we’ve known about this. This baby is biologically both Jon’s and Jaclyn’s baby, not Jon and the surrogate.

I have severe pcos from past 10 years. I am 27 right now. I am working out,lost weight, eating well from past one year. I have improved a lot. I can totally relate to her in many ways. I was 16 when i got diagnosed, having extra bodily hair,mood swings and constant worry about possible infertility issues drives me nuts. I am not married yet but this video has inspired me. I used to feel less than other healthier women. Now i feel complete. There are many ways to mother. Thanks for inspiring all of us and giving us all a new hope. ❤❤❤

Absolutely beautiful situation. I hope you continue to post so many of us can rejoice with you as you become parents. What a strong and wonderful couple. I was adopted at 9 weeks by parents who were unable to have children 58 years ago. Your finding such a loving family member is a blessing from God. I was truly blessed to be adopted by such wonderful parents and thank God for having such a loving and supportive life. Being adopted at that age, your mind can't fathom that every aspect of them weren't my biological parents. I am really thrilled that you are soon to welcome your little one into your life. I admire your strength to speak out to help others who may have your condition realize that they too are normal people who have a condition and that there is a way for them to possibly have their own children. Yesterday I discovered that I don’t have uterus , I was shocked and I cried a lot what worse is that my husband is getting his divorce,,,he said it’s not ur fault to be born like that but I want children,, I let him go cuz my pride didn’t allow me to argue with him for a sec… I no more care… I’m praying for every woman you are strong don’t feel alone.. be strong for ur self u re not a mistake u re not different you are just unique ,,,

You are beautiful and all woman! You don’t need a uterus to be a female or to be a mother. I was born with extra reproductive parts and one kidney. Both my uterus’s needed to be removed at different times for different reasons. I was devastated of course. I tried for ten years to get pregnant. At that point IVF had just started in Europe. Super expensive and no chance for me. But two adopted beautiful children completed our family. YES you can Breastfeed with the hormone injection. I started lactation in 3 days with pumping. Call La Leche prior so they can help you. They were awesome!!! Be prepared for some MAJOR mood swings and I even had depression…. But you’ll get thru it. It’s all hormones. You got this!!!

So beautiful to see. I have dealt with infertility for 3 years, and now have a beautiful 10 month old. Infertility is horrible, but when you finally get your beautiful baby, it's a 100% worth it.

I was born with mrkh syndrome too. We just gave up our wish to have children after searching for years.. because we can’t find a surrogate as commercial surrogacy is illegal here and we can’t ask. SUCKS!

I have mrkh syndrome too. When i first heard this, i dont wanted to live anymore. I got this diagnosis at 16 now i am 17. It hurts. I dont know if i ever get someone who will love me. I live in Germany and here its forbidden to let someone other be pregnant for you. So beautiful life
