      Thanks very much! Theres plenty more to come. Just as soon as the weather and tides are suitable for us to get out!

    Love your videos haha where abouts in Devon do you usually launch? I’m hoping to get a SIB this year but don’t know anyone with boats :/ I’m near Okehampton

      Thank you! We usually launch from appledore in north Devon. It’s a little quiet this time of year for us but soon as the days stretch out we’ll let you know 👍

    That's not a bar - South Passage, Queensland - that's a bar!
    Nice to see the old country though - happy boating!

      Granted there are more dodgy places, but with the third biggest tidal range in the world in the bristol channel, hundreds of people have been killed crossing Bideford bar. For Dave's first trip over we made sure we were spot on with timing and weather to make it as easy as possible, check out our video where we take the xcape over for the first time to see more representative conditions 😉

      @@DevonFloaters I am familiar with the tidal ranges of the great SW.
      I did my navy training and RYA yachtmasters in Plymouth and around those parts.
      Just across the channel at Lézardrieux on the Brittany coast is another huge tidal range.
      Here in SE Queensland we may have spectacular bars, but the tidal range is less than two metres normally.
      Happy boating!
      Now let's have a skeg at this other video...

      They are a right laugh. But don't worry, we'll get Dave out in some proper conditions soon enough!

    Loving your content i was impressed at how well that 20ph performed on daves grp boat he was steaming along! Im thinking of selling kayak and getting a sib for next summer! Do you worry about catching the tubes with a fish hook? Could it be a problem on a pvc sib? Is the one in this vid pvc or hypolan?

    • @DevonFloaters
      @DevonFloaters  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah it's been a good upgrade for him. None of us have ever had a problem with hooks, but it's always a risk having sharp things on inflatables! The excel and xcape are both PVC.

      Dave has got himself a freesun 270 which he uses in our last few videos, depending on what you want it for you might find 2.8 is a bit small!
