This is so well done! It feels so natural not just for the characters, but the style of the games! There’s a lot of versions of confession scenes for these two out there, and even the best of them usually wind up feeling a little far-fetched or cringy. It’s very tough to nail something’s exact vibe and characterization in fanworks, but you knocked it put of the park! (that line about friendship and love is SUCH a Phoenix thing to say) If it was ever going to happen in canon, I hope it would happen something like this. Awesome work!
