you can’t compare any of the singers doesn’t matter the gender or nationality to The Shreya Ghoshal
she is the best thing to have happened to urdu/hindi music in this century

I as a Pakistani think Pakistani women's are pretty amazing singers but when it comes to Shreya Goshal, there is no comparison. She's a living legend of this generation. Only woman that can compare her in any perspective is Qurat ul Ain Baloch. She's a living legend too.
So I think Shreya and Qurat-ul-Ain are the best there. And the comparison could be between Shreya and QB. Although I would be choosing Shreya over QB for many reasons, but still I would say QB is not too far from her. It's just about the amount of Songs which she sang

Comparison like this are stupid after all. One can pick the singer and songs to suit one's goal and for a certain impression which is often far from reality.
but indian's adding so much auto tune to her voice and other singers make it seems artificial / electronic , just killed the actual natural tune she had. no doubt she and other indian have great voice but pakistanis did better justification to natural voices
@silentnomad84 Do you think Pakistani do not know how to use autotune or not use it? Google it and you will find otherwise. India has a lot more variety and singers of all sorts. Keep the size of the country and variety we get from one region to another too.
@@thehawkseye3412 I know well. But in the given songs . Sorry I was talking about songs they showed and the reason they lean towards Pakistani singers. I am not saying indian singers are bad. If you get 1 Pakistani good singer you will get 100 from India no doubt. But the music India main stream companies are producing is using too much electronics or may be this is what new generation like. I was giving my opinion no disrespect to any country or singers themselves
@silentnomad84 It's just the post-2005 generation who like these upbeat, not lyrical genius songs with too much background noise. You are absolutely right about the use of auto-tune in India in modern songs, that's why people who enjoy songs for lyrics and melody still hear the 80s, 90s song mostly and the songs from the early 2000s. It is hard to get songs that touch you nowadays like the songs we had a decade ago. However, every now and then, some singers/lyricists/composers do create beautiful songs with meaningful lyrics and sweet melody...

As an indian i can say that many pakistani singers are brilliant. I mean in this video except shreya ghoshal(she is the goddess), all pakistani singers were amazing specially singer named baloch.
Abida parveen and Quaratulain baloch are more famous in Pakistan.
There’s a plethora of Pakistani pop, You guys still need to go back in terms of Pakistani pop of the 90s.
Awaz, Vital Signs, Fariha Pervez, Najam Sheraz, hadiqa kiani, faakhir, haroon rashid, or rock pop / rock bands like Roxen, Call the band, Mauj, Cov-en and so many great music videos these artists have done. And haven’t explored Farhan Saeed , Uzair Jaswal, and Haroon Shahid( who has one of my favorite voices ever)

As a UK Pakistani who grew up listening to 90s Bollywood. I never really bothered with Pakistani music. But since then I grown to appreciate just how talented Pakistani musician's are. They can't compete with India in terms the size of the music industry. But I prefer quality over quantity. Higher quality lyrics more creativity and versatility has made me love Pakistani music.

You are not alone efra ,alot of vocal coaches and singers are in love with momina's voice texture and tonal quality. Apart from that, her good looks are a cherry on top❤😂😂

For Indian serial songs i just love the title tracks of tv shows KyunHota Hai Pyarr (sung by Shaan), Kvyanjali (sung by KK), Miilee (sung by Sonu Nigam), Rang Mile (sung by Shreya Ghoshal from tv show Bhabhi) , Shararat (sung by Sunidhi Chauhan), Left right left and saara Akash.
They are shorter songs, not longer ones like Pakistani serials do but so much fun and lovely

The type of singing you're talking about, the further you go back in time, Bollywood singers mostly did that type of singing. Almost always actually. With time, and with the change in pop culture, pop singing became more popular in India.

Pakistani TV series are popular because they are short, some 20-30 episodes around 40minutes run time each. Which makes them easy to follow, compared to indian series that are still going with 1000 episodes and 10s of character changes. The indian dramas that i heard of as a child are still going strong 20 years later. However, in Pakistan the movie scene is not very good, it was fine till 2000s until they failed to adapt to the scene, but the only 2 movies that i can vouch for are Bol (BTW Atif Aslam is acting in this movie, so that might interest you) and Waar (something out of Hollywood, btw, it is in English). The other thing with Pakistani movies is they are not like bollywood movies which are fun and entertaining, every movie seems to touch on some real issues which often doesnt sit well with a large portion of the population. Enterntainment movies dont do well because of the conservation nature of the country.
