The deck lid is bent. That would either need to be fixed or replaced so it's not just the bumper. I'd be looking underneath for further damage once I saw the bow in the middle of the deck lid.
Think the Challenger was the best bet today. Please forget the Mercedes. You have a full plate of them. Lots and lots of work. Love ya Mike. Thanks for sharing !
Hi Mike: Just for info, we have an Acura TLS owned from new. It’s a 2008 model with the same annoying code requirement for both the radio and the navigation system. Beware if you buy an older Honda, as their is a hidden flaw with the Hondalink and Acuralinks. Their word for the hands free phone system. When the vehicle is parked, the system continually transmits to try to connect with a cell tower for updates. It will drain your battery in about a week if the car isn’t driven frequently. For years the dealer we bought the car kept telling us even after we had a spurious current draw test performed, that there is nothing wrong with the car. Finally, after the car was out of warranty, a different honest dealer reperformed the test and let us know there was a constant 2 amp per hour drain on the battery. In cold weather this would rapidly drain the battery, and re-charging it would require the annoying re-entry of both codes to unlock the nav an radio. Also, over time it would significantly reduce the life of the battery. The dealership gave us two options, repair the fault to continue to use the hands-free features of the car for $800, now that it was out of warranty, or disconnect it for $40. Obviously, we had it disconnected. We also asked if there was some way to reprogram the car to not require the codes and were told that was not possible. It was annoying that the original Acura dealer did not disclose this very prevalent programming fault with the Acuralink system, but it was well worth the $40 disconnection charge to finally have a car that didn’t kill batteries so quickly. Aside from this problem, it’s been a trouble free car, but the $1,660 Acura charges to change a timing belt every 60,000 miles would likely dissuade me from buying another car with a timing belt. I will stick with those that have timing chains and save that repair cost. As always, an excellent video!
I liked Challenger the best. I think it would be a quick fix and, as you pointed out, would make it kid happy. Might be good for one heading of to the University.
Interesting reviews by MWMof the Honda, Challenger and Benz CLA...the last car 🚗 looks very promising, some body repairs will complete the transformation, a good flip though...
The DRL is for Day Running Lights. Since both head lights are missing, they DRLs are nonfunctional. Great video, I love your animation adds. Very funny!
Trunk lid on that Challenger looked like it might be bent on the passenger side but, overall, it still looks like an easy fix. Wasn't impressed by the CLA when I had one as a loaner a few years ago while my GLK was being serviced. Looks like I'd be equally underwhelmed by the AMG version's interior.
I had that pentastar V6 in a Chrysler 200 and it was a great engine. Really powerful. You might consider that Challenger. You could make some money on that.
I love these 45 line amgs, obviously not as cool as the v8s.. but cool like modern day evos. I dont understand why the tristar on the engine cover keeps coming off tho
I love all of your selections, but the cream of the crop is the Challenger, since it's a V6 you might be able to get it for a good price. Love the walkarounds. 😀🛻🚙
Hey Mike you need to buy a pair of alligator vise grips to use on the hood shocks clamp on it to hold the hood up and buy the red Doge charger fix it and resale it
Doubt Honda hit a cow, my friend hit a midsize cow and there was cow pooty underneath and on the motor and of course all over the front end .What a mess.
Hey Mike, The Crosstour is a very good car, I think someone raised that one a little to high and that crash bar has got to go but all in all they are great cars.
I think that the Crosstour is the answer to a question that nobody asked. I think that the Challenger is doable. I think that the AMG is a legitimate total, too expensive to repair all that body work AND the airbags.
That low milage Challenger looked pretty damn good to me Mike even though it may have a slight bend inwards in the back panel, might be worth keeping an eye on it in the auction.
Too bad the Challenger is the food stamp model. Those V6's were TERRIBLE in the police cars we had with them. Inside looks nice. CLA is the poser-mobile here in South Florida.
Would like to encourage a moment of silence for our beloved Mike who passed away shortly after filming this excursion from internal hemorrhaging brought about by excessive compression of his torso during a misadventure involving a dodge challenger. He will be missed. Letters, donations, and flowers may be sent to a small, somewhat hygienically questionable duck, the present executor of Mike's estate.
Getting into that challenger seems a tad challenging. A tad on the belly eh? lol. I'm so skinny I gotta jump around in the shower to just get wet. I can hang glide from a dorito. I coulda gotten into that thing in a flash lol.
Hi again contortionist Mike. One more bit of info, Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section B, Part 571, on Motor Vehicle Safety Standards codified that for vehicles manufactured after 2011 and equipped with power seats manufacturers had to design them to operate with the key off. This was to facilitate getting accident victims out of cars more easily. Also, but more difficult, motors could be manually manipulated when power was not available. Most earlier cars were designed this way regardless so if sold in other countries, they would meet local safety standards. Hopefully, this will help you get into future cars more easily, and without the need for significant weight loss.😊
@@MonkeyWrenchMike Thank You. I’m happy if it makes your work easier. It was almost painful watching you squeezing into that tight space with the seat so far forward.👍
The letters "AMG" stand for Aufrecht, Melcher and Großaspach. Aufrecht and Melcher were the original founders of AMG and Großaspach was Aufrecht's birth place. Mercedes-Benz engineers Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, began AMG as a racing engine forge in Germany in 1967.

Hey Mike, I liked Challenger , I love all of your selections, but the cream of the crop is the Challenger
Those v6 challengers are no slouch! We had a 2013 and it had 305 or 310 hp cant remember but it would get it good enough!

A Panamera designed by middle schoolers.
