This came a few years to late. 90 percent of modern PC computers and laptops all come with multiple thunderbolt ports. Even a mini pc that cost 250 bucks has tb4. Its awsome to see a usb version but ive owned 2 x8p for years with no issues on my pc and laptop
@@audiotoolshed thanks for response🙏what u think better apogee symphony or this device for vocal recording and rnb production?I am very confused and don’t what to choice between this two
I've been using Audient id14 mk1 for many years and I recently noticed that Apollo Twin X has the best sounding converters and it sounds rich with depth and clarity, but unfortunately it's got issues with Wimdows OS.
Its a hard one. It worked before and all of a sudden it stopped, or after an update? In any case, swap out the cable, you never know. If its pure software related I would really reach out to UAD customer service, they're the experts.
@@audiotoolshed Okey, thanks. How much sense does it make to buy the Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt 3 Card install it into my PC and go with the thunderbolt version ? i mean how big is the difference in sound or in anything at all
for mac u better go with the Thunderbolt not the USB Version.. if u ask cause u primarily use a Windows PC and just sometimes OS u should be fine while using the USB Version on Mac
@@audiotoolshed Hmm... Answer me this, friend. If i use an apollo x usb hooked to my Hp Victus with 8gb ram, intel i5 12th gen; mostly to record songs with acoustic/electric guitars and some vocal overdubbs, will i do just fine? It would be a pain to "go back" and edit everything in place. It might be a dumb question... but heeey... I have to make sure ahah Because the numbers are menacing... the usb 3.0 has 10 whatever of velocity while thunderbolt 3 has 40
Its all a bit relative as well. Simply moving 30 cm or 1 feet from your speakers will be a difference of about 1 millisecond already thanks to how slow sound travels.
The twin x tb3 version does not work well with pc.. tried several high end setups.. crackling and jittering outside daw.. at least with the usb version this is gone.. but.. It does not achieve the low latency needed for real time effects.. guess that’s why it was tb3 to begin win.. shame on Uad for marketing the tb3 version for win users.

Hi,do u feel some difrence in sound quality with thudnrelbolt while recording and putting some dsp plugins on ?
Nope. Any plugins you record though during recording will ofcourse change the sound.

Great video I use audient 22 buffer at 16 smpls, 44khz low latency 👍🏽

Been trying to find the usb safeguard option in the new software console app
What does the usb safeguard do?
Can I use an USB-C to USB-A cable, or do i have to use USB-C to USB-C obvious with an USB-C Port? cause i dont have one ^^
It’s uses usb3 ( very important to check) so if you have a usbc to type a usb3 cable, sure.

This or RME Babyface Pro? (Windows user)
Depends if you want to start using DSP powered plugins by UAD. If not, Babyface. I use a babyface myself.
Can you record on Mac with this?

@maija4148 this is a windows only interface.
I am using thunderbolt 3 octo. Latency is much lower.
if you can notice half a millisecond difference I'll be impressed ;-)

I don't really see the benefit of thunderbolt. I have a USB 2 sound card and i can go as low as 1.6ms larency. USB 3 should be more than enought.

Bummer that it doesn't work in Windows 11.
Literally every screengrab in this video is done with windows11.
@@audiotoolshed Are you using an AMD chipset and latest build of Win11?
Idk if i should get this one ot the thunderbolt one iam really nervious lol
If you have Thunderbolt I’d do that one. It more tried and tested
