    Hey guys. I attempted to install this K-Member. Unfortunately, the motor mount landing points were incorrectly located. I believe that they were about an inch too high. The motor mount bolts bottomed on the K-Member slot before the motor mount could make full contact. Others have reported that the mounting points for the K-Member bolts (the two at the rear and the two in the forward location) were incorrectly spaced. they came up about an inch short as well. BMR is now aware of this. I have sent my KM744 back for a refund as they could not say when the corrected units would be available. I am moving on to the Maximum Motorsports unit. You can find a lot of good info on the issues at this website: www.svtperformance.com/threads/bmr-k-member-finally.1184400/page-5
    I would definitely wait on purchasing one of these until the community confirms fitment.

      The revised K-Member is now for sale. I'm waiting to see how it works out for people.

      I hope they get it worked out. The installation was straight forward and I think I would have been happy if the mounting had been right.

    The triangle welded to the driver side is for strength bracing and is not needed on the passenger side as the height is lower for that mount.

      This video is about three years old now. BMR may have changed the design by now. Not sure.

    So glad I seen this. Been holding off from pulling the trigger with no real valid reason, because I want to start auto crossing my mustang. My rear is totally redone, and just need to focus on the front. I am also looking at this exact K-member WITH the spring cups as I don't want coil overs. Thanks for posting! Looking forward to your next vid on the install/review.

      I plan on posting a install / review when I do the install. Hopefully, I'll get to that this weekend. I have been collecting a lot of parts to install at the same time I do the K-Member. You can see reviews on most of the parts on my channel. I'll list everything in the install video.

      The Rankin Files Same. My Kmember, A-arms come in this week and hopefully install a few days after. I plan on doing an install vid too. It’s been awhile for me. Good luck

      FYI, just got mine in. It only has the one gusset on the left motor mount as well. Might be because it’s longer on that side. Solid construction though

    Have you gotten it installed yet? I would be curious to see how welding up the lower control arm holes would turn out.

      Sorry for the slow reply. No, I have not. Between the nasty air quality due to fires and the heat, I haven't wanted to wrench. I plan on getting to it this weekend though. I'll post up some thoughts once it is underway.

      @@therankinfiles8956 no worries, I cut my season short because of the fires. Tracks in Nor Cal were just awful because of the smoke this year.

    Whats the difference between the spring perches and no spring perches

    • @therankinfiles8956
      @therankinfiles8956 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the question. You need the spring perches if you are going to run the stock style coil springs. You do not need them if you are going to run coil overs.
