- [KiniNews] Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has thrown his weight behind the party’s youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh amid the ongoing debate surrounding halal certification.
Ku Li, as he is fondly known, stressed that Akmal’s assertive stance should not be mistaken for hostility towards other races but rather as being in line with Umno’s constitution and mission.
Razaleigh was responding to Johor DAP committee member Dr Boo Cheng Hau who urged Akmal to apologise to Seputeh MP Teresa Kok and all Malaysians over his remarks amid the halal certification spat.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said police were conducting a thorough and careful investigation into GISBH.
He added that they would be utilising all relevant laws to investigate the alleged offences.

The way i see it, Akmal has a good intention but executed a wrong method. Teresa also gave a controversial statement that represents the government. If both of them accepts their mistake, make up and move on, I believe that's the best ending of this drama. Except if there's a season 2. 😏😏
