You basically confirmed all the fears I had for this movie. I was hoping it would be decent but I had a feeling they'd modernize it and ruin it in the process I absolutely adore the original, it's definitely also one of my favorites Zombieland (and even the sequel) will always be near the top of my favorites. Burlesque. Holes! I just rewatched Holes recently and it's STILL so good. I have a lot of favorites lol and another day these may be a little different
I had hopes for a while that they were doing a movie of The Crow: Wild Justice, because Skarsgård's character looked much more like Michael Korby than Eric Draven, and it made me think they were bringing attention to a different Crow story instead of trying to retell the original. As soon as they said he was supposed to be Eric my hype started to drop.
While I'm not quite old enough to have seen the original in the cinema, I did have the GN and soundtrack as a kid before I got the video and it was a big influence on me. The only thing I remember about this will be my refusal to watch it
@@MaukusNoise Keep an eye on film festivals. I did get to see it at the QFT in Belfast and it was completely worth it. Also favourite film is Blade Runner and I'm looking forward to Beetlejuice
I don't want to see it at all. I ended up seeing the begining of the 2024 movie like first 30 minutes due to my local theater advertising it at the 1994 release. I didn't love it. I love the original so much. I am eventually going to end up with a crow tattoo because it has left such a lasting impact. It is a movie that understands grief and loss and love. And it didn't seem like the 2024 version grasoed any of those concepts from what I saw. I am going to just forget that 2024 crow happened and continue to enjoy 1994 Crow,
just wanted to say that I love your video, you're obviously passionate about what you talk about. will there be more peter pan reviews or is that well dri?
Seen some clips of the Brandon Lee Crow version. Was devastated by his real death. Favourite movies is a toss up between The Iron Giant and The Incredibles. Looking forward to Incredibles 3 ❤❤
So if someone is curious about watching one of these films (especially after this review) you’d recommend them checking out the original movie rather than this version? Also, the makeup looks dope af! Ngl, it definitely suits you

I had a similar thought... A bit like the Deathnote film- just change them to a different/new character and it would solve soo many issues!

Hell yeah what kind of tattoo are you thinking?!
@@MaukusNoise A sleeve, with wildflowers on the outside and a crow on the inside, like the bird.

Definitely go for the original. More romantic, funnier, better costumes. Overall damn wonderful!!
@@MaukusNoise Will definitely check it out then ☺
I feel like I kinda should watch the original now😅 Cause I haven't watched either.
