Thank you, thank you, thank you! My sister got me a set of buttons, but I had no idea how to tech "touch" or "paw" like this. I'm so excited to get started this weekend! It's been fireworks and thunderstorms for 2 weeks, but this weekend will be relaxed enough to have some play/fun/training! So inspired by this channel!

I jw how it will go with multiple dogs pressing buttons at same time, making what they are trained to believe are polite requests but their wills may compete with one-another. Then you really have your hands full- trying to teach them to take turns & play nice- no tricking for the toy or attention.. Then- you can say "Ugh!", "Ugh"..🙄

I am amazed at what I learn from watching these button babies but can't help but wonder- Who is the emergency backup communicator if (God forbid) circumstances require it (even for a temporary issue) ? I think a plan needs to be in place to minimize the stress it would cause. I wonder same for other button talkers. (ie- I think Billi's dad needed "training" how to do his food.. ) Who would help minimize the stress of trying to communicate with an "untrained" human ? Or different dynamics & habits presenting unforeseen challenges. I hope none of these pets have to be challenged this way but life isn't perfect & it seems these pets are being trained to get their requests met more often than not & usually without much delay. I think of trying to reason with or explain disappointments to toddlers & preschoolers & even older "spoiled" children. It doesn't always go well. What safeguards are in place to protect the psyche/mental health of these furbabies ? Jw.

It's amazing how so many animals are force-fed medicine, and here we have Bunny reminding *you* to give her medicine. These buttons are a godsend for interspecies communication. I'm really disappointed in how shit humans are at communicating with other animals. Literally millions of years of evolution, and at no point did we actually learn how to communicate with them. They are way better at interpreting us than we are at interpreting them. Luckily these buttons help us out a lot.
It’s interesting that you give your dogs names of other animals. You’ve really messed up my 2.5 year old grandson! Lol. In order to not confuse him I taught him to say rabbit instead of bunny.
Now he asks me to watch more “Rabbit Dog” videos. Figured out he meant your Bunny. Lol 😂😂😂

fascinating.... but...... dogs verbally making demands all day (and they would) would drive me up a wall.... our girl gives us plenty of cues to let us know what she needs/wants...... but trying to explain that, no she cannot go for a walk because it is 112 degrees outside? I'd be hitting the BIG & UGH buttons!
I so wish you’d come teach my 3 yr old Yorkie, I’ve managed to teach him a few thinks, and tried a push button bell to go outside but nope refuses to even sniff it , stubborn breed of dog lol

I hope all works out well i may underestimate poodles (mix). Dr Dodson. His book its written to respect the heirchy When you walk in the door. Talk rub Bunny first. I would. But that chapter was about a little poodle and a big German shepherd.

Feel sorry for Bunny. Seems like Otter stresses her out. Will only be worse with a high-energy little dog. She just seemed “brighter” when she was an only child and could focus on learning words by herself. Imagine the social stress of living in a household with 5 people speaking two different primary languages and sharing a pidgin, each with different fluency in the pidgin. Stresses me out just to contemplate, never mind living in it. Too much social, emotional, and linguistic/cognitive processing. No wonder Bunny is on meds.

From what I have understood from some clips, you haven't taught otter much about the buttons, he has learned it from watching bunny. Why have you trained the other two dogs but not otter to use the buttons?
@Sarandib22 You're right, Bunny is a sensitive, observant, very smart doggy, Otter seems more mischievous and playful. But I remember from older videos Bunny started learning and using buttons when she was a small puppy, maybe Otter hasn't shown the same interest. They have such different personalities!
