I previously had a memory foam bedchair and it was crap. In the summer it was too hot so I then got the solar one with the air pockets and in the summer its lovely, just a bedchair cover and it’s great for a summer’s night on the bank. In the winter it’s brilliant with my Gardner bag. You couldn’t give me a memory foam bedchair for free.
I bought the large version last year had a week in France on it and flogged it straight away when I got home , it was so uncomfortable with the original mattress too hard for me , I’ve now just got the new avid ultra x system and to be fair it looks identical 😂 apart from only 5 “ memory foam
Had the previous incarnation, comfy bed , shockingly poor sleeping bag , sold it after 3 sessions, cheap materials used on the bag . Couldn’t use it in the heart of winter .
How the bloody heck can you do a tackle review on a bed chair on a day session and having not used the sodding thing for a few months 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ worlds gone mad
When will tackle manufacturers stop trying to reinvent camo? Yes I understand that it's a clever way to sell a range but it looks shit. Just do a nice olive green and standard dpm ffs. The amount of stuff that comes out that looks decent but I don't bother with cos I don't want some random attempt at camo that matches fuckall else that I own
I have to say here and now. The zips on my Solar 1 man bivvy were awful. Failed almost instantly and now worse still at least 8 " of zip became completely unstitched. What load of rubbish. Now need to use another JRC stealth bloxx wrap even to to use it as a biv. Solar bivs are crap guys
The bed felt amazing when I tried it at the Big One show, but like you, I couldn’t find it on their site and they are terrible at responding to customer queries.
Solars bed design is great with regards to the frame etc but it’s all the little things that it’s lacking…. The feet are small & a more brittle type of plastic compared to say trakker which are far bigger & better. Rather than wasting money having Solar written into the moulding they should have made them actually more robust. The tension strap clip is pathetically flimsy & a weak plastic, again compared to trakkers which is twice the size & thickness & feels like it’ll last a lifetime. The stitching overall isn’t good enough & the same goes for the way the materials are cut & stitched together, it’s just done to a poor standard. Overall attention to detail is lacking & without doubt when trakker bring their version of this bed design out I’ll be switching over unless Solar get it sorted.

Trakker 360 oval sleep system with a thermal cover for the mid winter , sleeping bag is unreal .
Fished right through winter , never been cold in bed , the new one is meant to be even better , expensive but what price being warm and comfortable

Digital camo is most certainly not a new style of camo..
All Solar products over hyped and over priced.
