Fishing A ROCKFISH Frenzy On The CHESAPEAKE BAY! (Light Tackle Fishing)

Fall is arguably the best time of year to fish on the Chesapeake Bay. Big schools of rockfish, otherwise known as striped bass, are chasing baitfish hard to feed up before winter. November has been action packed this year with a lot of bird action, and a lot of hungry fish. On this trip I stumbled a cross a huge group of birds working sporadic breaking fish. It was a lot of fun catching these fish on light tackle gear, especially since they fight so hard this time of year. Hopefully the good fishing will continue! interesting they were breaking on top. I was out there during the weekend with my dad and we were jigging them off the bottom, dint see one fish on the top, I think the bio mass of fish is still north of my area of the bay

We have been doing very well in the Deale to Chesapeake Beach area. The fish are moving deeper and it seems most are holding in 35-45 feet of water.
