    Thanks for the fantastic review on this. I just gotten both - Star Saber & Victory Leo black edition. Super rare to get both set and was fortunate to finally owned one. The price tag is on the very high side - SGD $2000. I'm still recovering from this purchased.

      Man congrats. It's been quite a while since I bought a Flame Toys 3K figure as I just can't get past the exclusives... I could pick up Victory Leo now from a number of great stores but paying $400-500 for the "not as good" one does my head in. I know that every time I looked at it I would be thinking about how much cooler it would be with the cannons. They really are an integral part of the figure, not just an alternate face or the little Megatron briefcase or whatever.
      It's a lot of money to drop on figures but hopefully it's not long before that's forgotten and you can just enjoy them :)

    With such number of accessories and price, I wish they made the base capable for storage.

    I hope you persevere with this channel because your content is great. Very detailed, excellent production values, and highlighting things I had no idea about.
    The concept of a non-transforming Transformer is an anathema to me but I can't deny this is a beautiful model and the craftmanship is excellent. I didn't realise that Hasbro licensed any of these third party models so that alone was an interesting surprise.
    There's no way I'd pay these prices though, not unless they did an OG Death's Head. Which they won't.

      Thanks Arthur! Really appreciate your encouragement mate. I've never heard of Death's Head before, but FlameToys has actually done a Batman (Arkham Night) so while it doesn't sound likely I guess them branching into other comic book licenses is probable.

      @@robotoyworld He was a non-Cybertronian bounty hunter (so didn't transform) in the UK comics. He played an important role, and is now a generic Marvel character, but he's never had a Transformers scale toy. I'd definitely pay Kuro Kara Kuri prices for him though.

      @codified likeness utility Thanks again. I feel bad that I haven't put anything out for a couple months now but between work, family life and COVID stuff it's been a challenge! The good news is I've still been collecting so there's plenty to show when I do get a chance. Thanks again for your support and encouragement :)

    I enjoy the tone, tenure, and photo quality of your videos. However, I would strongly suggest a cursory review of the TFWiki for some additional background info that should enhance the knowledge presented in the dialog about the subjects. Otherwise, keep up the great work.

      Thanks! I wasn't really taken with The Fallen, but am keen to check out Victory Leo in either the regular or black variants. I just noticed they are reissuing regular Star Saber, so hopefully all of them will be reissued at some point.

    Great review bro I watch a lot of collectors and this was awesome format in comparison! Keep it up! Hope to see megatron soon!

      Thanks so much! Yeah I found when I was trying to decide if I wanted to get in on this line there were some great reviews but nothing that allowed me to see the figure really well so hopefully I was able to achieve that for others who are interested. Megatron is on the plane from HK now so hopefully I can show him some love next month, and also showcase the three Decepticons side by side. Cheers!

    Probably one of the best figure reviews I’ve ever seen. Thanks! What are your thoughts on their recent Nemesis Prime?

    • @robotoyworld
      @robotoyworld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your generous comment! I have their standard Prime and it's a beautiful figure, if not a little fragile... Very highly articulated so, like Star Saber, you can get some incredibly dynamic poses. The Nemesis would be amazing next to this and Megatron.
      Super excited about their Jazz figure also. I just noticed it's around the $300 price point, which while is still crazy expensive it's below their usual $400.

      @@robotoyworld No problem! Yes I recently purchased their Nemesis Prime and it’s glorious. Was thinking the same. Next to this StarSaber… wow.
      Really hoping they do Soundwave at some point.

      @@ohmtw4156 I would really love to, but I honestly don't know when I will find the time I'm sorry. Tarn is a very impressive figure. Not as many gimmicks as StarSaber and Megatron but great articulation and very impressive on the shelf.

    • @robotoyworld

      I'm so sorry but we had lockdown here in Sydney until October which meant I didn't have the space to shoot anything, and I started a new job in September which now takes up all my time. I hope to be able to get back into creating videos but without a permanent space it's just too difficult at the moment. Thanks for watching though!

    Dude I never looked at the prices for these but 400 dollars for a non transforming transformer? Man that’s crazy you can get a solid set of five combiner for that. To each there own.

    • @robotoyworld
      @robotoyworld  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is very true, and I think I felt similar when they were first released but in hand I'd say they are the nicest action figure I've ever handled. I don't have any hands-on experience with Hot Toys but these are just beautiful and as I mentioned in the video if you actually had to design this and then have it manufactured and assembled it would be an insane task, especially in what I can only assume are relatively small numbers. I imagine it takes days just to put together one figure, not to mention the incredibly detailed paint work. But I would still take my ToyWorld Constructor (Devastator) over this guy, no contest :)
      Part of the reason I set up my channel is that I know I'm fortunate to be able to have some of these sorts of figures and I want to be able to share and showcase them so everyone can enjoy them beyond the images on the company website and the more casually filmed YT channels. I hope you enjoyed checking it out even if you weren't sold on their ethos for the line :)

    man Star saber is my number one favorite character with victory Leo right after. This don’t do him justice in my opinion just don’t fit him and I know it’s stylized just not for me. It does look awesome just not Star saber to me more gundam looking.
