Thanks man I'm making one a little bit different but the same basic principle but I didn't need a couple things in your video for reference like the bucket part that was something that really helped that's what I'm back on here for right now I'm a big fat boy at 300 lb and my ass is pretty big so I think I'm going to go with one that's like 19 inches wide that way I'll have plenty of room with the way the ropes go on but I'm probably just going to use one of those straps that's like a ratchet strap but it pulls tight and cinches down I heard that the nylon straps grab the tree the best better than ropes but we'll see you know I figured even if for some reason it fails you're only falling 12 to 20 inches to the ground you know not saying you couldn't get hurt falling that far but it's not like falling 30 ft to the ground anyways I appreciate you doing this tutorial
So the first video I click on when looking up these tree seats is a guy from right down the road from me making them. I'm in Boles. Just moved here last year. I'm adapting to hunting these mountains. I will be cutting some of these seats out soon.
Good job on your modifications. Should cut the weight down from the one I make. I tie my rope under the seat so I’m not sitting on the knot. Good hunting HGWT

I’m adding my foam pad when I get set up so I don’t feel the knot. Good luck out there:)
Maybe sell some card board templates for those not so handy. I’m gonna be making some of these for my son who can’t sit still
