    the B777-200 ER is BA's international long haul workhorse, which will have to be replaced with additional 53 - 58 brand new B787-10, A350-1000 HGW & A350-900 ULR wide body jets . . . divert half of it's upcoming fleet of 26 brand new A320-200 Neo to it's regional full service subsidiary BA Euro Flyer . . . the British full service carrier legacy is still one of the best by far, in terms of it's services offered . . . a flag carrier still very sought after by the world . . .

      Why A350-900ULR? No airline except Singapore Airlines has shown interest for that aircraft, nor will BA benefit with its ultra long range

      @@khalidabdulghani yeah, doubt BA will be adding any of those to their fleet. Qantas are going with new A350-1000ULRs for their project sunrise fleet, so I guess if BA ever intends to operate non-stop flights to Australia themselves they’d likely also go for A350ULRs, either the 9 or 10.

      No, they will be replacing them with 787-10’s and 777x’s. They don’t need an A350-1000HGW, and have no need for, nor are they interested in an A350-900ULR, not to mention that jet was solely made for Singapore Airlines.

      @@khalidabdulghani just to give you the benefit of doubt Singapore Airlines isn't the only full service carrier interested in the A350-900 ULR . . . infact several full service carriers around the world are more than willing to acquire the A350-900 ULR . . . best guess, new upcoming full service operators (airlines) from India, Middle East & South East Asia . . .

    Had the pleasure of flying a BA 350 to London this year and loved the crew. Meals were great too and probably the best seats i’ve flown on ever. I’d say about on-par with Delta and a great airline!

      Both A350-900 and A350-1000 could carry the exact same amount of seats as B777-200ER and the -300ER.

      @@nntflow7058 etihad also operates the 350-1000, but don't have any 900s on order. They have the 787-10 instead .
      Apart from Singapore and Vietnam airlines , it's pretty rare for an airline to operate both the 787-10 nad a350-900 since they are similarly sized.
      Unless BA needs the additional range of the a350-900 ( which I doubt ) , they will most likely go for more 10s

      The 777s are more Heavily-Engineered and are a better Workhorse than the A350s and I believe BA are a lot more loyal to their Boeing Company for Their wide-bodied Twin-Engined Aircrafts. Both manufacturers are worthy of applause 🙏🏾❤️

      @@mmm0404 But etihad never actually have B777-200ER. The have 5 B777-200LR back in the day, but it was used mainly for US flights.
      They also uses A350-1000 to replace B777-300ER. The don't need aircraft with the range and size of B777-200ER or A350-900 to begin with.
      Unlike BA, etihad is located in Abu Dhabi. Most of their routes are serviceable using B787-10 since it's pretty centralized location wise.
      Many of the BA's long haul routes are significantly longer compared to Etihads.
      Hence why they utilize B777-200ER more.

    Has to be the 380 have been lucky enough to fly in business on BA 380 just an incredible experience 2nd favourite is the 350- 1000 look amazing, I hope to fly on one soon.

      Fr, been on the BA A380 twice and both times it was incredibly comfortable. Although at the time I was barely 5ft tall, not sure how comfortable it would be now that I’m 6ft

    Sun Air also fly into Cambridge Airport using the 328 Jet. That would be a nice story... Also covering the pax ops of the airport which will soon close due to redevelopment of the area. After decades the airport will be replaced with housing.

    I flew 787-9 in business recently and will fly A380 in business in October. I like both aircraft, but the old business class is just not up to standards and miles away from the new product you get in A350X, 787-10 and some 777-3

    You missed out the 787 that front landing gear collapsed on the ground. Also I think BA should get the A220s in their fleet from city and maybe bring back city to NY

    Interesting that it doesn't have any Airbus A330 while another IAG airline, Aer Lingus' only wide body type is the A330. They have the A330-300 and -200. Although I'm aware that Aer Lingus is a smaller airline.

      Wish BA had used the 340-600 they would of looked stunning in BA livery unfortunately only Iberia used them was a beautiful looking aircraft and miss seeing them at BA
      Virgin fleet were sold off when Covid hit but still an opportunity to fly with Lufthansa until they are replaced in a few years time

    They need to get their existing fleet up to a good standard. The amount of unserviceable IFE's I've seen in premium economy over the last year is just silly. And then there's the tray tables there that are so broken you have to hold your food tray onto the table with one hand so it doesn't slide off.
    I've had both those issues on different flights.
    I fly with them for work, so I don't mind as I'm not the one paying, but for my trip to Canada next year, I'll probably choose Air Canada, just because I don't think BA are worth the price they charge.

    I have flown on BA´s 321 neo, 320 ceo, 787-9, A350, and A380. While I love the mighty A380, it was a bit disappointing that neither the 380 nor the A350 have live cams in comparison to Air France’s and other Airbus operators. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the World Traveller Plus product on the 787 and A380 respectively, which I found them good value for money although I was not really impressed by the IFE. All in all, IMHO the A350 is by far the best fleet today.

    Too many different aircraft in their long haul fleet. They also have really old narrow body aircraft. Can’t get over their reason not to fly between LGW AND Edinburgh. They seem to have allowed EasyJet to walk all over them on this route .

    No mention of the absence of effective customer service channels, hyper densified cabins with nano-washrooms, non reclining rows - even on longhaul airframes and galleys too small to carry the advertised catering. Catering that is under provisioned as a matter of policy.
    Record breaking profits but IT systems that are unreliable, insecure and user unfriendly. BA has been on a downward plummet for almost a decade and
    is regularly nested by lo costs...
    IAG are simply harvesting cash from inherited slot dominance and a brand that bears no resemblance to the hollowed out, cost cut nightmare that is paying a premium to fly with them in 2023.

    A380 will always be the best, followed by the A350. The Boeing 787 is the worst, followed by the 777... The 777X project delay is just another example of why Boeing is losing market share and customer confidence.

      @@JDAbelRN Because they are happy to massively discount their product. If you examine list price V sale price for Boeing V Airbus, there is a marked difference. And, at the end of the day, accountants run airlines, not pilots or anyone remotely involved in actual customer experience. So, they will go with whoever waves the biggest discounts in their face.

      Actually, Boeing is projected to keep 60% market share in the widebody segment til the 2040s.
      In fact delays with the 777X are the reason the a350-1000 has seen some sales. I would be worried what would happen when the 777X enters into service.
      The 787 alone is outselling all of airbus widebodies combined, that dominance will increase with the 777X

      @@letsgotoe2toetravelled with them lately? They have so many operational problems and a very outdated premium product on most of their long haul aircraft. Aerlingus A321LR has a better premium cabin than BA 787-9 that’s for sure.
