Saw Glaser Brothers in Eau Claire Wisconsin 11 22 1972 n bumped into them when I backed up from the stage as they were setting up a card table to sell their records.
I often have wondered id tye Glaser Brothers never received the accolades from Nashville establishnent that they deserved because of their ethnicity. I'd hate to think that being Jewish (and from Nebraska) was the reason ....but nothing else makes sense.
Wow! That's a new one Mr. Ziggy!! Never heard that opinion before about this subject...What makes sense is that the Glaser Brothers established Glaser Sound Studios, and allowed artists to create their own music without the restrictions of the Nashville country music establishment...The success of their business caused them to be labeled as rebels and troublemakers, and I believe that sentiment has carried over to today's mainstream country music industry, such as it is... And as far as the Glaser's being Jewish...You need to check history before making that assumption ... "Nebraskan Catholics Tompall (née Thomas Paul), Chuck and Jim Glaser first appeared as guests on the Grand Ole Opry in 1960. While they became Opry members in 1962, Jim Glaser confirms that acceptance came only after the suspicion that the brothers with the Jewish-sounding surname were Jews proved spurious."
@@suehunsinger I'll accept your explanation. I was told some years ago by a former Grand Ole Opry announcer (you'd recognize the name) of the Glaser Brothers religious background .... until now I've had no reason to doubt it. Thank you.
I can not help listening to these great singers and commenting ! My god they are great!

Just realized they’re singing a Phil Everly song…?…with a twist. Wow!
I like The Gatlin Brothers but no disrespect to them, Tompall, Chuck and Jim are the best.
Which one is Susanne’sdad?
None of the brothers had a child named Susanne...
