It's definitely here to stay, having clearly made a place for itself in the gaming world. I love how the deck blurs the lines between console and PC. I can see a time in the not so distant future where I move completely to handheld, run it docked as my daily driver gaming rig, and pick it up and head out the door or chill on the couch when my gf is watching crap TV, they just need to evolve a little, become a little more powerful and who knows, they may take over completely as the main way we game. I was always a no compromise high end PC kind of guy, always had the best CPU/GPU, but the costs nowadays are totally unhinged, I've become far mor comfortable not having the latest and greatest, and I still enjoy gaming as much, if not more with the advent of these handhelds.
As of now you can’t beat the form factor of the steam deck and the customization of steam input when it comes to handhelds. These competitors need to focus on more than just performance in order to take over the handheld market.
@@steamdeckers4405 yup and comfortable AF. Making something smaller but less comfortable isn’t a selling point to me. I need to be able to hold it like a normal controller. These devices that force you to do somewhat of a balancing act with your right hand just to get your right thumb in a comfortable spot for the joystick just aren’t it for me.
@@steamdeckers4405 I can tell by the way he’s holding it and the crook in his right thumb while using the right joystick. Looks maybe a little bit more comfortable that a switch because of that joystick placement. My hands definitely wouldn’t be able to hold it the way I hold a normal controller.
Excellent review, I have the AOKZOE 32gb ram 2tb handheld and the difference between the A1 and the deck is big, I still love my deck and play it but I don’t play it as much as the A1, Hogwarts , dead space run much better, that’s not to say games like spider man and other deck verified games don’t run as well it’s just a solid difference between the two and being able to play any game out of the box is pretty big
@@OVERKILLGAMING786 it only has onsale items. cant find upcoming stuff. I dont Think Upcoming PC Handheld Or Playstation Handhelds If they Were going to Be Out Would Be THAT Classified
The button layout and grip size of these devices is a huge downgrade for me compared to the steam deck. I'm not sure why they chose a design that you can't actually grip with your hands like a normal controller. The low right joystick forces you to have your right thumb in an uncomfortable position to use. Looks like its maybe slightly more comfortable to use than a switch.
I own both and for me the ayaneo ergonomics are so much better minus the back triggers but i so much prefer the ayaneo. Laying down holding the deck is way more comfortable for longer sessions
No its the new peasant of handhelds hahhaa I bought one on the same day i sold it it ergo sucks so bad and analog stick are terrible for fps competitive games
I actually like the ergonomics. The Steam Deck does feel somewhat better because I have large hands. But I don't think the ergo on the Geek sucks at all. On top of that, it can play every game I throw at it with better performance. I did have any issue playing COD with the sticks. I would hardly describe that as the Peasant of Handhelds. lol
Why? Generally the fallback is a track pad (that very few games utilise) and the price (this is more of a premium product so price is less relevant- plus steam deck are only really reasonably priced inside the us).

Great review bro
I will stay with my deck, and will wait for the next gen of it

@@xHIGHBALLERx The form factor? The steam deck is the big asf. LoL. The geek is better if you want something more portable.

the steam decks edge buttons are worse. at least the buttons on this is not on the edge of the machine.
