When you book through Agode or similar app - they get your booking details right? Like when will you check in their hotel? So They wait for the Ferry as they know the time when the Ferry will arrive at Pier. You Have to find that guy the Hotel name Tag on their hand. Yes Hotel Staff will receive you and carry your luggage from Pier to Hotel.

In my case Agoda was superb. I booked all my hotels (6 different hotels) in Thailand through Agoda and all were smooth for me.
