This is probably the third time I've watched this video, and I am more blown away by the attention to detail than I was the first time I watched it. I swear if someone handed me a Citroën DS key, I'd try to start it. These have always been one of my favorite cars and you keep making me want one even more.

I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart in recognition of the reproduction of one of the most beautiful and revolutionary automobiles in history; namely the Citroen DS in whose design participated: the Italian designer Flaminio Bertoni, the French aeronautical engineer André Lefèbvre and the engineer Paul Magès.

By far the best car builder I everr saw on social media! What really blows me away is how the doors and hoods snap shut so tight and accurate with the gap spacing so even all aound! I can go on about this guy.I love building cars too and I'm proud of my builds but this guy is a Rembrant of car model builders!

You take the term “artist” to a new level. Your workmanship is almost impossibly high quality.
I have a request, and I have a feeling there are many others who would like to see it: would you be willing to make a video focusing on the materials you use and where you source them? Items such as the many different thicknesses of alloy sheet, the metal, plastic and vinyl tubing I keep seeing? Then maybe touch on how you manage to shape aluminum sheet into u-channel to form things like window frames and radiator supports?
While it is fascinating to watch, I would love for you to share some of your secrets for accomplishing these fantastic builds.
For each work, I thought I explained enough, but it seems to be lacking. In the future, we will explain in more detail where possible. Thanks.
@@A4Garage Thank you! I’m sure that, from the perspective of a master craftsman who is intimately familiar with the process, it did seem to have been well enough demonstrated. To a bumbling idiot like me, however, it appears to happen as if by magic, and even with liberal application of Pause and Rewind the process escapes me. How you are able to bend a u-shaped channel formed of 0.1mm or 0.2mm aluminum sheet without deforming the profile itself is still beyond my comprehension.
I know how this is done in industry with the use of presses and dies which serve to stretch or shrink certain areas as needed, but to do so by hand is something else entirely. Again, it almost appears to happen by magic. 🤯
Thank you very much for considering my request. Your builds are far beyond my abilities, but they still serve as inspiration to try to improve.

Another amazing build from A4 Garage. The DS is a true classic car, to see it transformed into 1/24 scale by this magician is an absolute treat. Take a look at the boxer engine, the best little copy of a working engine i seen in a long time. As far as model building goes, it does not get any better than this.

What a fantastic model. It truly does the DS justice.
Travail magnifique et soucis du détail impressionnant et je n'ose dire quelques erreurs. La position du levier de vitesse indique que c'est une boîte de vitesses mécanique, donc il n'y a pas de régulateur centrifuge et autres, celui-ci servant à l'embrayage de la boîte hydraulique et en France la batterie se trouve du côté gauche. Toutefois je pense que l'erreur provient de chez Ebro. Le seul que je puisse attribuer au montage est la position des fils de bougies qui ne respecte pas l'ordre d'allumage. Toutefois c'est un détail qui ne retire rien au temps passé et à la qualité des détails. Bravo c'est magnifique et malgré mes 35 ans chez Citroën, je suis abasourdi devant tant de travail j'ai l'impression d'être devant une vraie. Mille mercis d'avoir fait honneur à ce véhicule 👍🤩
Merci pour le bon point.J'ai cherché beaucoup de données, mais il était difficile de trouver les spécifications exactes car il y avait beaucoup de photos de réparations ou de déformations. Je pense que mes travaux futurs se développeront davantage.
Fabulous build .. and I love your presentation style as well. We used to have a DS21 Pallas and it wouldn’t be a million miles from the truth to say “This the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven / being a passenger etc. Despite the mushroom brake pedal” which if you weren’t careful you could put the car on its nose 😅 thank you for the memories and a great build. 😊

Incredible. I still have the Heller kit of the DS 19 which I bought some 30 years ago but only finished the engine of. I should finish the rest at last but I do not have it in my fingers to do it THIS much justice! If I’ll find the courage I will make it green with a beige white roof like at the original DS’ Paris introduction.
