So, I'm a little late but time for the lore comment now that we're back to Granblue Characters. Vane is the vice captain of the Order of the White Dragon knights of Feendrache. He's Lancelot's -boyfriend- best friend and they've known each other since they were children. He's a great chef (unlike Lancelot, who acknowledges his own inability to cook anything decent.) and is the guy who reminds the otherwise far too dedicated Lancelot to take a break every now and then. He's warm and kind and he encourages these traits in Lancelot even if he and Lancy don't know it. In an alternate timeline where Vane died, Lancelot grew cold-hearted and ruthless against his enemies. Vane tempers Lancelot and Lancelot encourages Vane to keep growing, to keep getting stronger to remain an equal at his side. The pair truly complete each other in the most -romantic- literal sense. At times, Vane does doubt his abilities as a knight. He's not as intelligent or prim and proper as Lancelot, nor as precise and he lacks the overwhelming power that Siegfried possesses. He's informal and a little blunt, while this makes him easy to approach compared to his comrades he can come across as having little to no dedication to his role. Vane's biggest fear is that he'll drag Lancelot down by not being a worthy Vice Captain for him. But he absolutely is worthy, he is just as strong as Lancey - their skills are just different. He's an unstoppable wall, a defender fully willing to suffer nearly any amount of pain to protect those in need. When things are at their worst and everything seems against you, when you're pressed into a corner with seemingly no way out. Lancelot is the man to give the orders and take control, but it's Vane's bright smile and warm heart that keeps you going against all odds. And when the bastion breaks and you need someone to hold the line against the impossible, Vane is the man who steps in without question or hesitation. For as long as he can still stand, for as long as he can still breathe, for as long as there's something to protect behind him, NOTHING will get past him.
fun fact about him: in the original game, when most characters have low health, they take a pose that's some variant of like "oh, i'm in pain, i'm dying" with gritted teeth... meanwhile, Vane SMILES, because he doesn't want to show the civvies that he's struggling (though honestly, being at low health is when he's strongest, as he both has the buff that increases your damage the lower your health, but he also has a super mode that can only be activated at low health... but good luck getting him there, dude's tanky as FUCK)
@@Iffem I've actually played the original browser/ mobile game! It was quite fun. I never noticed he smiled whenever he was low health but it makes sense.
@@TyrannisVirtue ah, okay. I think it's only his Water SSR after the 5* that does it (it ties into the cutscenes you do to get it), but yeah, it's a nice touch

The Katalina transitioning into the Vira interactions are hilarious.
Poor Vane, Vira be nice to the Golden Retriever boyo
Man, I love Vane's character ; man really is the definition of the indomitable human spirit (I suppose many characters are but still).

It's so funny that of all the characters in the game, Belial has intros with the least innuendo with Vane. Vane is just too pure to corrupt. 😂
23:37 😨
Zeno Robinson is getting so much VA work lately. I'm so hsppy to see him get the credit and recognition he deserves that man has range.
Thank you Kaiser awesome interactions and the music fits😊
