Sound real to me. The way the daughter shifts blame to everyone else and keeps changing gender depending on her mood.

Nah, the gender confusion isn't the issue and I doubt it was even that. I know some NB people and they don't have these kind of notions. Hell, from what OP said it was closer to genderfluid than NB. I really think the kid got brainwashed by a psychopath.

@@uwetheiss970 Puberty makes kids go crazy, but being confused about your own gender isn't one of them. It's a much deeper issue than that.

So according to your theory every teenage pregnancy is because of gender confusion. As most teenage pregnancies occur in the bible belt, LGBTQ bashing states, you must be so unhappy to live alongside so many queer girls. She/they fucked up as all teenage girls do and they have to weather the consequences, not OP. I know a lot of non-binary and fluid people and they don't act like OP's child.

Nah, OP’s kid isn’t nonbinary, they’re genderfluid if anything but is also uninformed, that’s why they call themselves nonbinary. It’s the same with people saying they’re bi but only like people based on their personality and their sex and gender identity don’t influence their choice, which would be pan, or saying they’re bi but wouldn’t have sex with one of the genders (which means they’re either biromantic but homo/heterosexual, or one of those people who are just “testing” themselves, since there are people like that). It’s either OP’s kid is uninformed, settling for taking a term that’s not actually accurate to what they are, or (as much as I don’t like saying it because it gives a bad rep to people who are actually lgbt+) is doing it just for dramatics.
Edit: considering some of the additional things OP’s kid was trying to get her to call them, I’m leaning towards them doing it for clout rather than actually being nonbinary/genderfluid
Edit after watching the whole video: yes, OP’s daughter doesn’t sound like she’s actually lgbt+, she’s just an easily influenced delusional nutcase riding a high of believing she’s more important than she actually is.

Okay, first of all. Gender Fluid, Not Non-Binary.
Second of all, Honestly the OP should just call it quits, I get it completely abandoning a child is aweful, but givin the state of things, if the OP leaves the door open even slightly, the cycle will just repeat, its pretty clear the daughter just wants their parent to simply use them for what they need and want, nothing more.

    • @svenhendrickx2783

Yeah it was more gender fluid than nb. I know some nb people and they don't really switch pronouns. Where as the 2 genderfluid people I know do tend to switch depending on current "mood", but you don't need to ask them if you see them in real life. Their clothes usually give it away, one especially is easy to see the he/him mood as they wear flanel cargo shorts depending on the season.

I use they/he pronouns and getting misgendered at work every dang day sucked butt, but I also recognize that no one did it out of malice. I just had to put up with it. Not people using this story as a ‘Gotcha’ moment to discriminate against people who identify as NB. As someone who has several friends who identify as NB they’re all stellar people. They work honest jobs, are kind, and loved by the most important people in their lives (family + friends). OP’s child in this story very obviously suffered from some mental health problems, I kinda got BPD vibes and some slight schizophrenia vibes which are both AWFUL to deal with undiagnosed + unmedicated.

as someone who is genderfluid, (Im only a few seconds in so sorry if i get something wrong!) OP's daughter saying they are male somedays and "non-binary" somedays, i can cnfirm as someone who is genderfluid and had a non-binary friend, they are definetly most likely non-binary lol-- non-binary is not having an exact gender, so feeling "male" or the other things some days is very likely genderfluid

the rare case where someone in the community really is confused 😂 nonbinary and genderfluid are not the same and the daughter irks me for thinking that. because they’re literally the opposite of each other. nb is not a trend or a defense mechanism and it sounds like that’s what’s happening here.
