Thanks for the memories. Used to drive that stretch of I-95 30 years ago. Mianus River bridge collapsed a few years after I moved to Florida. Used to live up near Westchester County airport.
Technically, passing on the right is illegal in most states (CT for sure) but the middle line is called the "travel lane" and the right lane is the "slow vehicle lane", so the same lane discipline does not apply as in other countries. This video must have been done on a weekend - on most weekdays, traffic through Stamford and up to Norwalk is crawling slowly. Kind of fun for a 150mph drive on TH-cam!
Surprisingly free of traffic! It's interesting to see the different style of driving too. Not keeping right is illegal in Europe unless overtaking and so all those people in the middle lane would be liable for fines! Still, people in New Zealand drive much like you see in the video, though they overtake on the inside too as that's not illegal here. =(

What a wonderful ride and a wonderful song
thank you
Sweet video. The Metro-North was right where I knew I would see it, after the New York State Thruway tolls in Larchmont/Mamaroneck.
