You know what my favorite part of this video is? The part where they hang out and share techniques. All the popping off, salt, and anger is fun sometimes, but a bunch of competitors showing that at the end of the day they're all bros really gives me hope for the scene.
Yipes was so quiet during the running sets he did with Mike Ross, Combofiend and them, that I had no idea he is this funny and godlike. He is a guy I want to hang with.

the mazio loop [S > sj.L f+H S > land]x4 into two reps of the regular footfootdive loop is Doom's strongest corner combo.

He was doing a Team Hyper Combo (press both assist buttons and if you have the meter, everyone comes out with their hyper) if you're talking about the part where Dark Phoenix almost killed the whole team.

11:18 or so, Viscant whiffed the same lv3 to lose Team Evil the match in Seasons Beatings Velocity. Then Jwong flipped him the DXes. It was glorious.
I looked it up because I was interested. The port is the Neutrik USB connectors sold on most joystick part stores. The USB cable may be a Neutrik special USB cable with a large barrel connector that locks in their port. Problem is the cable is very expensive $30+ and hard to buy online, but it does look very secure. My MAH stick has a finicky USB cable so I was excited about the idea of a robust USB connector.

Viscant said HIMSELF in an interview with Gootecks after he won Evo that he wouldn't have one without phoenix. Which is what the fuck i've been saying this WHOLE time. But I'm not dumb enough to think nobody else used phoenix too, which is why I said he isn't bad. But he lost in this set because she was nerfed, but I do respect him
I never said anything about tier lists. You're complaining a lot of him considering he has had a lot of nerfs. He isnt a big big threat amongst other characters. He can be kept out with simple projectiles, even with x-factor.

Did you even watch the same thing as me? Fchamp may talk shit about people but that's just his personality and he has the skills to back it up so you just have to deal with that. In regards to camaraderie half the people who played top 8 matches all gave each other hugs before or after the set and mucking around in between matches is just to get in the other plays head because it's a competition.

i like having fun and feeling good about myself > winning. That's just me, clearly you're different. I'm just showing that this video proves that Viscant relied on his high tier characters to win. This years evo he got bodied and in this video. he fell behind because his skill wasn't as great as everyone elses. he used his tiers as his edge and it's now showing. That's all I'm trying to say.
Viscant, when you get Dark Phoenix, even Clock go Oroboros, you gotta try going on offensive. There's no way you can block all LV.3 X-Factor Oroboros. :(

oh yeah getting a few reps of it isnt very hard but spamming those 4 specials in a loop for half a match straight is killer. if chrisg doesnt get tondonitis by the end of this year it's a freaking miracle

Why are you asking me who dark Wesker is? I play Wesker, so yes I'm pretty affiliated with the character. At the same time, I dont find him as scary as Dark Arthur. A dark Wesker can be kept out. He's only a threat if you aren't keeping up with him along with playing smart. And its only you're fault if you dont kill him off from the start. People forget to snap in characters.
The assist is really good.

He had a top tier team in Vanilla, yeah he used phoenix, and when he won EVO people bitched and moaned. But what people forgot was that other top players used phoenix yet Viscant was better and won the tournament. He made a 30 minute movie explaining the pro's and con's to his team. He made 7 different mixups for wesker that pretty much every player uses. You say hes not a very good player, yet im willing to bet that he would body you, just with his shear knowledge of the metagame.

See if you were actually involved in the competitive scene you would know that Wesker is falling further down the tier list, since almost everyone knows how to fight him. And phoenix is no where near top tier, Dark Phoenix for sure. But not only did they nerf her, they nerfed the amount of meter gained overall. So you have to work for 5 meters, and be on point with your mixups. In tournaments, its such a risk to have phoenix on your team, and Viscant has been using the team since vanilla.

Funny because he "coincidentally" developed a Doom team when UMvC3 came out. Phoenix is still viable, Dark Phoenix is still broken, Wesker is still GDLK & Haggars assist is still great & pipe spam. Viscant still can do the same shit he did in Vanilla because it wasn't nerfed hard enough for him to drop them that's why he hasn't switched. & even if it's "Not a good team anymore" that makes him a fraud for needing high tiers to win Evo. Show me these "7 mix ups" have you seen Clocks or MarlinPies?

I think he just means people's attitudes, not the popularity of Fighting games.
Explain to me what Weskers nerfs were. What? His pistol shot loop was taken away? His Counter has more start up. That's about it. Vergil builds a lot of meter, so I don't see why you couldn't. I'm implying that Viscant is no longer on par with other top players who rely on their own skill rather than the tiers of their characters. That's why he gets bodied now-a-days and that's why Clock was laughing at his Doom Combo. He doesn't evolve. He's not Bad, but he's definitely not a VERY good player.

The other top players didn't use Wesker and Haggar either, so that theory kinda goes out the window. 7 Different mix ups, yet in this video I see like 2. Just because he "show cased" the mix ups doesn't mean he invented them. The only mix ups I can think of are common sense and have been used in fighting games for years. Tick throwing with Weskers Command grab after block stun, Teleport mix up when they come in ect.

Yet he's still S Tier lol and Wesker's down pistol shot is still one of the best assists in the game. Lvl 3 Wesker & Lvl 3 Dark Phoenix are still 2 of the best anchors. He also got a sunglasses buff where he does more dmg. His counter still works it just has start up. Some characters don't even have a counter. Wesker has the 12th highest amount of health in the game. And there's 50 characters. Wesker is S Tier, Dark Phoenix is the strongest fighting game character ever made & Haggar assist.
Few characters really make use of X factor. Vast majority of the cast are not a problem in it.

He was nerfed dude. Took away a large amount of his health, his counter was trash really and the gun shot was pegged down to juggle. His team is compromised of Battery, Assist and Anchor. Its balanced. And he gives up a lot for his phoenix team.

I honestly think that Viscant is a good Marvel player, I really do. Despite my negativity or what I've said in the past I know he' good, but their are other players who are REALLY good using wore characters. Or even the SAME characters sometimes and when I think about this and I see people supporting him, so much i think "why?" Compared to A LOT of other players he'd get his ass handed to him and he had to tier whore to win in vanilla (I'm just sayin; it's true) when the team got nerfed he lost.
Then why is he all over top 8 at majors and all over Xbox live? Because he's not a threat? Have you ever heard of the term Dark Wesker? He's a really good character. That's all I'm saying. Dark Phoenix is also the BEST character in fighting game history. I don't understand why anyone would think Wesker and Dark Phoenix aren't threats or top tier. If they aren't then who is? besides Vergil.
