it's so intense and rewarding when you are at the last boss on stage 1 with no revives left and only 2 shieldbars and the boss on his last 3 percent seeing him uploading his laserbeams. love this game!

Because you are a shmup fanatic, you'll have a much better eye for than me for issues and comparing it to other shmups. I tried to convey as much information as I can regarding the experience to give others a better understanding of this title. Because I haven't come from this place, this is why I recommend reading what other hardcore shmup players have to say about this title. I even mention it in my review that I don't know how hardcore fans will accept this game, and I honestly don't know. I do enjoy it a lot and it did revive the love for shmup games over again (lead me to check out so many others). So there is something this game done right.

Thank you so much. I did put a lot of effort into this review because this game did something for me that many other games haven't. Elden Ring for example made me play other soulslike and took the fear out of roguelikes that made me play Returnal which I enjoyed so much, and Elden Ring turned out to be one of my all time favorite. And this little game, revived my dorment love for shmups. So my review is also a thank you letter for the devs who made this game, no matter how it will be received by others - it changed something. First of all focus on surviving on EASY! For the love of God, King and Country DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! First of all i did everything trying to enjoy and like this game, i own almost every side and top scrolling games on both Xbox Series as well as PS4 / 5. Just to give a few examples, Sky Force Reloaded, Sky Force Anniversary, Ikaruga, R-Type, Resogun, Nex Machina, Rive, All the Metal Slug Games, and Arcade space ”Classics” Defender, Space Invaders and so on. CYGNI however, is one of Konamis big failures in resent memory and it really pains me to have to make a statement like that. This game is all over the place and not in a good way. This is a textbook example that good looking graphics are not enough to hold together a game.+20gb of storage for what? and to ad insult to injury +30$ as well In comparrison take Sky Force reloaded and Anniversary, those games are STELLAR when it comes to execution regarding graphics, level of challages and funfactor Cygni are just a complete mess, maybe if i had some sort of disorder and multiple arms i would have enjoyed it more. But not in it’s current state.Do not get me wrong, this game is GORGEOUS, but that’s not enough. I favorited this game whan i saw all the screenshots, and was very exited about it. And i have been following it’s deveolpment closely as well If only i would have bought it on the Xbox platform i could have had a refund, now i have to suffer knowing this abomination have to live inside my Playstation game library forever. Pros: Really good looking game and superb graphics . Cons: Game Score (Music), classical music, in a space arcade?, really, REALLY? Speed, this is a speed demon, and that’s not a good thing (Maybe if it were adjustable) 2 million things to keep track of, feels like a Cod Modern Warfare Ultra Sweat Lobby . Nothing shouts ”Casual” at all in this game, this will cater to only a select few people. Stutter even on really fast hardware storage options with over 300gb free on internal SSD. Lag in the controls even with brand new controllers. Price. Seriously Konami, you need to do better then this!
You are right about the music it really doesn't fit or get you excited at all but you can slow down your ship speed in the settings menu. Other than that the game is pretty amazing, brutally difficult but amazing lol
I felt the same at first but once you learned the mechanics of the game (keep watching TH-cam), you’ll appreciate and love this game. I finally was able to beat it on the easy mode. Moving on to medium and hard modes now. Also, once co-op mode becomes available, it will help others learn the game faster too.

I have the upgrades and I tried to customize it, but my drones don't seem to be shooting
There are shooting, they are like more guns basically. Might be just overlapping the other ones. If you put a different angle you'll see them.
