    This is so amazingly well explained! I’ve had soooo many lash technicians who just go straight into just applying fans which always caused them to be too heavy causing not only the extensions to fallout but my natural lash to fall off with the extensions causing bald spots!!! It’s so refreshing to know that there is someone who’s not not mastered the technique but is kind enough to share it with others!!!!!

    My sweet girl, you are most definitely an artist! Your work is amazing. I was a model in my youth and wore lashes but they were just the normal glue in strips. I am now 64, and I have health issues and am losing hair and lashes, and vision issues. Eye makeup is tough to do if you need glasses, and they must be removed. So I am a newbie for sure. ( at least in this area LOL) How much does a hybrid set cost? How long do they last? My tip for you Darlin, get a different shirt that fits you well. You are beautiful and have lovely young hands...don't cover them up with a shirt that is hanging off of your arm at least 8"+ over your hands! You are so pretty. Accent your lovely youth and wear a nice, form-fit blouse that accentuates your positive attributes( and there are many!!) You are BEAUTIFUL! Good luck sweetie.Thanks for the help.

    As I get more experience with youtube, I've realized what our youtube videos have been missing (before/afters, mapping, etc) and have tried my best to add in mapping to the beginning of each video - my newer ones have the mapping all laid out in the beginning of the video. In this one I believe we did a cat eye, with 10, 11, 12 and 13 in the classic and 11 and 13 in the fans! Sorry we forgot to mention that! As mentioned in the description we use the Mink Classic Eyelash Extensions in 0.15 thickness in a D curl and our Mega Volume Eyelash Extensions in 0.05 thickness in a C curl. I do these youtube videos because I like teaching and I try to provide as much free info that I can for anyone who can't come to our certification courses. Thank you for the feedback!

      hey if I use a 0.07 d or c curl for a classic eye what will be the outcome I bought them from you but I feel like my thickness is wrong and it will back fire please help if you can

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@jessij2929 If you are using a 0.07 curl as a classic set, it would barely show for the amount of work you will be doing. If you client wants a natural set you can use .10 or .15 because .07 will be too thin. 0.07 is used for making volume fans. Hope this helps! :)

    I was trained in my lash course to use a silicone patch to pull the lower lashes down and then tape the pad in place that way the tape doesn’t stick to the lower lashes when you’re trying to remove it. I suppose either way works obviously.

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are so many ways you can tape down! I think it's good to know different ways of taping since some people may be allergic to the gel pads, or tape, etc.

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just depends on the shape that I am doing! For example, in this video I'm doing a cat eye, so the shorter lengths go in the inner corners, and longest in the outer corner. If I was doing a round eye, the shorter lashes would be in the inner and outer corner and the longest would be in the center. Hope that helps!

      Thank you so much! You can make the fans before the appointment, especially if you are hand making your own fans! So the camera wasn’t 100% focused and it was hard to tell if you’re putting the volume lashes on top of your classic ? Or if you just left some natural lashes out for the volume ones im super confused 😭

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! I apply classic first and leave every other lash empty then I go back and apply the volume fans to the empty ones! Depending on how natural or full you want the look to be, you can do more classic or more volume.

    When adding fans are you doing the same lash as you did the classic lashes on or are you finding new lashes

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      You're finding new lashes! You place classic on half the lashes and fans on the other half, but not both on a single lash. Hope that makes sense!

    HOLY TAPE 😳

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know it looks like a lot but the under eye pad protects the skin and is not really meant to hold down the bottom lashes, the white tape holds down the bottom lashes and gives me a super white surface to work on and the clear tape stops my tweezers from catching on the tape as I'm working, so it looks like a lot but each definitely have their purpose! Everyone has their own methods and this one has worked the best for me

  • @GraceJPower

    It seemed like you were getting a lot of lashes gluing together and it took more time near the end separating the lashes. It might not happen as much if you did the classic on one eye then did the other eye so there was more time to dry in between. You could even do about half the hybrids, then go back to the other eye (giving more time to dry) and then come back and finish with the last half of hybrids. Because you were using the silicone pad, it would make it easy to move back and forth compared to using the tissue which is harder to move.

    What does she mean applying left to right? I’m trying to figure out how you know which lash to apply to which. And which do you knew gets a classic and which doesn’t?

      Hey! I opt to jump around the lashes so that each lash has time to dry. I kind of have the lengths I need to use already visualized for each part of the lash, but you can write the mapping on the under eye pad to know which lash goes where. As far as the classic lashes and fans, it's typically every other lash that is classic and every other lash that is volume. Hope that helps!

      Enough to make the fan that I want but not too many that the base is more than double the thickness of the natural lash. Since it's not realistic to count every single lash, aim for a certain range that you want to make (i.e. 3-5d, or 6-8d) that sort of thing! Good question!

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We would suggest leaving it in warm water and gently removing it - the silicone lash holders are really meant to stick on their own so cleaning it with anything stronger may take some of the stickiness away! Hope this helps!

      Hello! Glad this video was helpful to you! I can't recommend that you do your own lashes as there is a lot of risk in damaging or irritating your eyes with the tweezers or glue. Please be careful as these products should be used by professionals only

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Jennifer! Thanks for commenting. It is normal if you sleep on your face, or one side. We tend to see lashes going all over when this happens. If not, there will be a slight different in straightness but it should never be major if they are applied correctly. Hope this helps!

    Do you place the fans on top on the individual lash or the bottom?

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With fans I typically think placing it underneath has better retention, but depending on the clients lashes you can try placing on top or even on the side!

    • @YegiBeauty
      @YegiBeauty 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be a combo of the glue you are using and the humidity - if you're using our glue, ours dry fast so it may be the humidity in the room. Otherwise I would check with the brand of the glue you are using to see what humidity they need to be used/stored in
