John Brzenk is the father of modern armwrestling.. there is no doubt about it. It's crazy to think how many of the armwrestlers in EvW 14 weren't even born when John was an armwrestling champ. John Brzenk is the absolute GOAT of armwrestling. Every armwrestler worth his/her salt have or should study John Brzenk.
I just can't help but picturing these legends back in time where they first met each other, and yet see what they've accomplished, it's absolutely a pleasure to be witnessing this era
Been following John's career since the mid 80's, I'm a year younger than him, and it's such a joy to see him still out there competing. Regardless of today's outcome, win or lose, I have a weird feeling that he'll announce his retirement after today's event. John Brzenk, the best there ever was.

U can't believe how big is John.... I'm 39 this year. born in 85. At 85 John was a professional armwrestler on the top! Started 77 and was a short breat util 80,then 1980-2024 John is ON and not in the bench... John is in the elites! so 45 is not 100% true.. maybe a bit more...I'm not sure...impressive ,no question.
@@ThePityu85 John is awesome for sure no doubt, but Obviously Arm Wrestlers in terms of overall Athletics and Athletic ability are nowhere near in the same realm or category as NFL, NBA , Boxing or UFC MMA , track and field guys etc. Not even remotely close.

Why are the weigh-ins so secretive? We see all sorts of behind the scenes moments but never the weigh-ins. This is something that the fans would like to see. I have my doubts that Devon actually made 231lbs at any point while being in Orlando.
So long as the competitors agree I don't really care about the weight. Unless they are going for a title shot in a weight category then I don't think a catch weight should be allowed.

Found out the young skinny guy won that real tournament in the movie. It was brzenk. Then i looked in the internet what he does now and he was in his prime armwrestling times. I fall in love with the sport. Years ago. He had no gray hair..at least not much.
SO COOL TO SEE THESE TWO together. I remember the early 2000s. When Arm Wrestling was like the UFC in its early beginnings. So awesome to See @DevLarratt and John still in the GAME, at the HIGHEST LEVEL! PLEASE @EastvsWestArmWrestling -- BRING YOUR VENUE TO "CLEARWATER, FL" (Tampa Bay Area). One, It's one of the GREATEST VACATION SPOTS IN THE UNITED STATES. Two, It draws people from all over the world, and Three it has some of the GREATEST beaches & Hotels you will ever see. Furthermore, this area is home to many retired WWE wrestlers, and Professional Athletes. IN MY OPINION, ARM WRESTLING at the RATE its increasing in VIEWERSHIP and FAN BASE -- will grow exponentially (much like the early days of UFC) and become a POWERHOUSE Sport over the next 10 years. THANK YOU DEVON and JOHN -- for BRINGING THIS SPORT TO THE FRONT PAGE. Very excited for tomorrow. As a 46 year old man myself --- OLD GUYS RULE -- So JOHN & DEV -- KICK THEIR ASS!

The usual style of tournaments as opposed to these latest East versus West King of the table type things that came from covid nonsense. Will you guys ever be entering tournaments again? They do still exist, correct?
have you considered opening up your horizons aka "there has to be something im missing" *proceeds to look for things that my not even exist* thats what John did when he was traveling around the world pulling hundreds of different people in all these events
This is such a mismatch from going from fighting the top 3 best armwrestlers like Irakli, Ongabiav, Krasamir to a semi profession like Leonidas feels disrepectful
