This is one powerful performance and Kyo’s emotionality and music in general has always been a source of comfort and a reflection of psychotherapeutic survivability for me; he is somebody I feel that I can relate to. Thank you for translating these two fan favourite songs. May God bless you and good things come to you.
It doesn't feel right, but it makes me happy to know there's someone like Kyo that understands my pain. Still, I wish he couldn't haha :/ They're my safe place. Thank you so much for subbing these songs 💕 you're amazing 🙆🏻♀️
I understand that I have severe ptsd, depression and debilitating anxiety, and this band has always felt like an old friend. I know that when I hear Kyo everything I’ve been through somehow he finds a way to say what I feel without even knowing me. So you’re not alone the world just got lucky and has somebody like Kyo to channel our pain into words so that way it doesn’t have to eat at us.
As a new fan, I am so baffled by this very intense performance. With your subs you can at least try to get behind the meaning. Thank you for that. I prefer musically their later albums (from Uroboros on...), but the emotions Kyo is putting in this song. He is a complex man. I read somewhere that even the other members don't know the meaning of his lyrics. I am still blessing that day some months ago I discovered them. Please keep on translating, it is very much appreciated!
Withering to Death has always been my favorite album right besides Vulgar due to its absolute rawness and aggressiveness. I listened to it a thousand times back to back back on release.
I love that you picked this live to sub! The singing isn't as clear as in some others maybe, but the performance is so moving and fascinating to watch. Really great work with the translation!
Thank you for putting some details about the translation in the description. As filthy casual I rarely find or take the time to dive deeper into their lyrics because I know that Kyo likes to play a lot with the Japanese language and it's quirks and double meanings
Best performance for both Kodoku ni shisu and Dead tree ever! Thank you so much for the subtitles. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, does one have to be part of the [a knot] club in order to purchase the "From depression to ____ mode of" tours blurays?
I may sound cheesy..Light shine the strongest in the darkest of all places! Kyo's is willing to dive deep in the darkness, to bring the light for the rest of us! At least, that's the effect it has on me!
Can we please have a translation of "Kasumi"? I know how it goes more or less and theres other translations out there. But every translation is always a bit different since the two languages are very different. I most of all prefer your translations, you successfully paint the bigger picture of the song verbally. I would love to see your translation of Kasumi.

孤独は人間にとっての最大の敵。
ここまで表現できるアーティストはいないでしょう。
服を血でよごしてないところがすごい。DILは何かが違うと思っていました。

The individual "mode of" releases are FC only, but the compilation one ("mode of 16-17") is purchasable for anyone!
