Every April is roughly ~15,000km for my Tacoma. Then it's ready for summertime FSR poundings. You did mention possibly having greaseable rear leaf shackles and some leafs have that feature. However, for those people with squeaky bushings that are not regreaseable via zerk fitting, you can get spray-on penetrating lubes compatible with bushings that suck their way into cracks and make things silent again. Great video with practical advice - I'm a high maintenance nerd and agree on all points.
Oh dear Lord I've got over 300,000 miles on my manual transmission and I've never changed it. Just checked it and it's still going strong. It's a w56 in my crawler and have never had a problem. I think I'll change it now hahaha
I have a maintenance schedule for all my fluids. I do all my fluid changes and grease points myself.I then know it is done where they are.I keep a log of any maintenance that is done.
Well thank you for this video. I have a small advice there's some cars like jeeps does not come with the greasy fittings pens ? What i usually do there .. is a spray being used for lubrication and anti-corrosion. I'm using it since 15 years and even though my car doesn't have a fitting grease pens but I'm able have smooth ride from the shaft, It will definitely ease the movement of the inner part of any mechanical part movement by spraying the lubrication spray, once a while.
One thing that was weird when I was greasing the driveshafts.. no issues with spiders, crackle and a little grease exposed..stopped. But the slip joints.. ten pumps and nothing heard or seen.. stopped anyway at that point. What's the deal with those ?? Nice vid !
Love this channel, Love the info, Awesome! I have alot of this Maintenance routine on my 3gt! Pressure washing is definitely recommended. Letting mud dry everything out and then also putting weight on everything is horrible. I noticed the Pressure washer tip! I would recommend you guys use the 40 Degree (white) tip for getting more wide spread to safely wash and sometimes get closer if need be! I do however use a more aggressive tip for bigger clumps to get off. You can get an adjustable washer tip to switch between on amazon its a 5 in 1. Makes it very easy!
don't forget the time interval for servicing, a lot of things are 12 and 24 month intervals like brake fuids and diff oils, I disagree on the don't need to do the front diff less as doesn't work as hard, it's not a factor in good servicing. Greasing should be monthly ideally, as grease solidifies and so the longer you leave it, the more chance of not actually greasing the parts effectively.

Don't forget power steering fluid! I'm at 35k on my taco and wheel pretty hard on 35s and man that stuff was black and smelled burnt.

Most overlooked part is greasing and specially the shaft. Most Toyota dealers don't even have grease guns anymore.

If you have factory joints with no grease fittings you can use a grease gun syringe.

My 2020 Taco doesn’t have zerks on any of the driveshafts. I believe after 2019 they stopped and put sealed units
