- We arrived for a fun days fishing and had massive Vaal dam carp spawning all around us!
The fishing was difficult but seeing those fish spawn was amazing!!.
The dam level was rising during our session, check the pegs before and after, to see the water level.
You guys look like an awesome bunch of okes, good fun and gees is what it's all about
Had to click on vid of fishing at the vaal dam as when I was younger I used to mess around there with my friends who had a place that kinda looked like a castle on the dam! Tight lines

Thanks for watching, so fun fact, we were meant to do a Mozambique trip in November but it has been postponed to 2021. All our gear is ready, we just waiting for new dates! We going to head up to Chidenguele.

Hey Mike... we have had a couple of busy weeks and actually went out fishing but we ended up being rained out! So we couldn’t film anything!.... However, we are off to fish tomorrow and will film and heading out next week again. 🙌🙌

Hi Mike, sorry not a fishing question. Do you use a gopro. I got myself a volkano picture is excellent but when i film it looks like everything is curved what they call fisheye. What camera do you use.
I use a GoPro 8 but if the setting is wrong, then the video also has a curve. Check what your video lens setting is, that should hopefully help. Plus, go check on TH-cam, I learned a lot about my GoPro from TH-cam 😂💪🏻

Mike, what size hooks do you use? i use no 3 daichi hooks but have been told they're too big, i have however lost some big fish on no 1 and 2's
Hey Mike, so I use a Daiichi no1, that’s my go to hook! When I fish in the river and I am targeting bigger Carp, I will use a no2 hook. If you losing fish, your hook might not be standing out of the floatie enough?... maybe.
Hi Mike out of curiosity, where did you get your stand? I have a funny feeling that I know where.
I got the stand about 4 years back from Springbok Angling, from there in line store. It’s time for an upgrade though!

Hey Mike, strange that they're only spawning now, i was at Klipdrift over a Month ago and they were already spawning there!
Going to Boschkop tomorrow till Saturday, hoping to catch some nice ones but they don't usually bite when spawning
I know right? I googled it and it seems that with all the rain and the dam level rising, it activated the spawning!
Hopefully they done by tomorrow and the weekend, so you can catch some good fish!

Last week we rained out and ended up sitting in the car for 3 hours, with wind and a lightning warning🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Today was not much better!
Once we get a chance to go out, we will be out and about again!
