this one is a case where you don't have to measure. a touchback that brings the ball to the 30 just requires the ball to break the plane of the 40. they don't measure here for the same reason they don't measure at the goal line.
@@anglermatt - Wrong, and totally wrong. The referee would be told in literal 1/10s of a second where the ball was, with the only debate being when the player was down... another thing easily handled by AI. It is actually pretty complicated. The only way to try to locate the ball in 3d Space with a chip in the ball is with Radio Frequencies. How do you get an accurate down to the inch measurement of a ball's position when the chip is in the ball, surrounded by grown men and pads and helmets? And you're changing the balls out constantly. They are getting kicked, thrown, spiked, in hot weather, cold weather, rainstorms, surrounded by wireless radios, mics, wifi, etc. How do you know when one tip of the ball is over the line or the other end?
It would take away their ability to steer games. The last thing on their mind is to make the games fair they just care about what makes them the most money.
I'm neutral in this since I don't care about either team BUT this was a TERRIBLE call here 😤 BOTH were bad spots. UNBELIEVABLE how the Bill's got hosed here. Now it's all about how Buffalo got screwed vs the Chiefs winning fair and square.
Wait till you go look up addendum 4 on what a catch is. And watch the replay of that interception by the Bill's player. Thar was instantly said to be a catch by the receiver. Who never had possession of the ball while it was in the air. And only until after it touched the ground did he even try to gain possession. So it's either an incomplete pass or a muffed catch. Which means the play doesn't end until one player is able to secure it away from the other team... which never happened because the ref instantly blew the whistle and said it was chief's catch.
You forgot that he had the ball pinned to the defender and the ball didn't move when it hit the ground. Also, there was a holding call on the same play so it didn't matter.
@ Correct. So if they take 4-5 plays to score a TD there then Buff probably doesn't have time to drive down and score their own TD. Would have been worse off for Buff.
Don't like 2 juggernauts from each conference going toe to toe?.... Sorry your team isn't in it.... they need to chop more wood and their fans need to whine less.

@@DrabadaireSixGunDriscole They get money already without fixing games. There's no reason to take that risk. What is even your theory on how the league would make gambling money by fixing games? NFL execs placing bets?
I think perhaps they now use lasers to paint the stripes on the field so they are as straight as possible so they can more easily project the official chain spot onto the field when it is on a yard line. Just a guess, I haven't seen them measure with the chains in the past few years.
tbh the chains were always a really bad way of doing it There’s not much uncertainty of where the line to gain is, and especially here it’s pretty clear where the line to gain is. There’s a lot more uncertainty in where the ball is spotted, and the refs can be off by a little bit and have it make a big difference. When they bring out the chains, they’re basically implying that the spot is concrete but they don’t know where is the line to gain. The chains are only useful if you have certainty in the spot but not on where the line to gain is, which I suppose can happen if the line to gain isn’t between yard lines or something.
Instant Replay in football is an absolute sham. There are dozens of times in a season where they review calls that are waaay more obvious than this and still get then wrong at an outrageous rate.
If you think this is bad wait until you find out about MLB reviews. There are exactly 4 places on the field that they need cameras on and they never have a good angle on any of them

For real. Refs have been by their side for 7 years. Mahomes isn’t even good. Reid is a bad coach. Refs control everything. The game is rigged. Every nfl fan should refuse to watch the superbowl. That’ll show em!
Bro it's not scripted. The logistics involved would make this entirely impossible to pull off without being completely obvious. BUT with that being said, the refs very clearly manipulate / influence the outcome of the game So the plays are real, the players are legitimately playing to win...... But the refs have other things in mind
@BananerRepublic Right, I'm exaggerating. Obviously the teams and players are legit, but even they're openly saying they're up against the refs when they play the chiefs.
😂 already coping I see. Yeah totally scripted. So the Ed Oliver offsides that got called false start? Or the blatant missed face mask? Missed calls on both sides, that’s how games with refs go. This is completely an issue with calling a play with 20 guys piled around the ball. You’ll never get a perfect spot even with a chip. So you better make it obvious you got over the line or you’ll get a 50/50 spot.
@ I would say that too if I was a sore loser and always lost to the chiefs. Never about not being good enough, always the refs or some external factor. Unless you’ve already convinced yourself of it and are trying to prove it with no evidence.

Remember one of them they spotted a ball against Seattle like 3 fucking yards off that gave the other team a first down and Carrol was barraging the refs and they ignored him. Whatever the hell is going on with the officiating during Chiefs games, the fact is the NFL's problem is that the story of their season is the refs and not the play on the field, something they need to address in the offseason. The officiating has been so consistently terrible in favor of the Chiefs that the "it's rigged" narrative has gained way too much traction and fans are justifiably frustrated.
“Correct spot” as if anyone knows exactly where that was 😂 They replayed it. If it was obvious they got to the line they would have overturned it. Maybe don’t rely on a play with 20 guys piled around 1 guy with the ball on a 4th down. And if you do, you better make it clear you got over the line. It’s the natural counter to the tush push. You make it impossible to see the ball and give an exact spot, so you better not rely on passing it by an inch.
@@MellowSocialist How dare you bring critical thinking into this discussion! McDermott was a fool for calling that play, get the obvious first down and don't leave it up to any debate, but this is why McDermott always gets outcoached in the playoffs
@@MellowSocialist but it’s just too easy to blame the refs for your mistakes. No accountability for their own play calls whatsoever. The only thing that makes this more egregious than the no-call pass interference in the Saints vs Rams 2018 (NOLA) is the fact the refs actively moved the ball behind the line of scrimmage twice. It's two corrupt calls in a row, not one.
@kellanmeandor That’s the main problem bud. The Chiefs are already a great football team. Everybody and their dog know this. So why does the NFL feel the need to give them extra help and give them LITERALLY every single 50/50 call. If it’s not clear, Chiefs ball. If nobody is sure, Chiefs ball. If there’s even the slightest way that KC will benefit from a call. The refs will make sure to find a way to help. It makes beating the Chiefs damn near impossible because you have a gang of refs ensuring they’ll win. How is that fair for 29 other teams???
@ They don't get every 50/50 call, their 50/50 calls just get blown up online and on TV. Have you heard anyone discussing the bizarre false start call on KC when the Bills defender started rushing through the LOS early? Or the phantom pass interference that was called on McDuffie on Mack Hollins' awesome TD catch? This stuff happens to every team in every game, but they obsess over it for one team over the last two years. This particular play happened with 13 minutes left in the game, not 1. Bills had the best shot any team has ever had to beat the Chiefs after shutting them down for a FG and getting the ball back with 3+ minutes on the clock. They fumbled the ball four times and recovered every single one, and Josh had two INTs dropped on the first drive. They didn't let James Cook touch the ball on the final drive despite him being their best skill player all game. They failed three tush pushes because they go the exact same way to the left guard every time. They failed two 2-point conversions. Josh Allen got fooled by Spags' blitz on 4th and 5 and Kincaid couldn't bring in a miracle catch. There were a dozen different things that happened in this game that led to this conclusion.
This has been going on forever. The 1983 Redskins were handed a trip to the Super Bowl with 2 horrendous phantom defensive fouls against Ronnie Lott and Eric Wright late in the game. Happily, the Raiders trounced the Redskins in the Super Bowl.
But at least they didn't have instant replay. I get mistakes when you are judging in real time with only one crack at the apple. These guys got multiple slow motion looks from multiple angles. Its inexcusably bad.
I remember that game. The ref said Ronnie Lott was holding but the other player was actually running into him. To this day, Ronnie says he's never been able to watch the replay. I believe the Niners got some redemption the following season by beating the Redskins on MNF.
I don't think it's "scripted", but NFL definitely wants the Chiets in the SuperBowl for that sweet sweet Swifty money. The excessive gambling and the money involved in that definitely comes into play as well - Vegas always comes out on top.

@ lol did you not see KC block like 3 bills special team players in the back on their last kick off return??? you might have not seen it and the refs DEFINITELY DIDN'T "see" it...
I've always thought they should put a "chip in the ball" like you said around 5:55 mark. I feel they should do the same in baseballs. Grant it, it would take the human element out of it but it would be pin point exact! The refs would still call penalties and bases safe or out. Love videos and your amazing work!
Probably not but if it just tracks if it's a ball or strike thru the zone then it would work. If it's hit it's destroyed which is fine cause they'd probably pitch the ball out after a hit due to a scuff.
In baseball it wouldn't even be a new system. Hawkeye has been tried and tested for so long in different sports now. And in baseball you can aim all the tracking cameras at the box and adjust for each specific batter's strike zone with a technology similar to the automated offside in football/soccer.
@@Bobington11 AWS can track anything. They even proved they have even better camera angles than NFL on the replay center. You can probably do a breakdown like this in every chiefs game. I’ve noticed the same thing with refs just putting the ball down and nobody questions it.
It’s funny how Chiefs fans act like the league is out to get them and they don’t get any calls but all these crucial calls or no calls in key situations happen more in their games than any other. They talk about 50/50 calls when we all know 50/50 calls do not exist when it comes to them.

It can touch the ground as long as it doesn't "move"when it does. I don't like the way they handle those. Funny if the defender hadn't trapped it there it probably would've bounced out.
Rules were changed a few years ago the ball can touch the ground after possession obtained. Unfortunately the defense lost the ball to a tie up on top of Worthy's chest. The offensive player by rule wins the tie up
Didn’t even watch the game as a Bills fan because I knew the Chiefs would get bailed by the refs like they always do, and Lo and behold imagine my surprise

On the 3rd down, his elbow was down when you were talking about his knee not being down. When his arm is straight up and down, his elbow is on the ground. That spot is correct. On 4th down. the overhead shot is worthless because it's not directly above the play, but maybe 10 yards back of the play changing the perspective. But the other stuff is plausable. Regardless, in spite of everything else, Buffalo had the ball down 3 with 3:40 to go and 3 timeouts. All they needed was a scoring drive. They didn't get it done.
The refs have been just as bad as usual this season of course, but everything in the Bills/Chiefs game seemed to be reasonable judgement calls. I didn't come away feeling the Bills got screwed by referees.
No, the spot wasn't correct. I just watched the play frame by frame. The ball already breaking the plane of the 40 yard yard, or at least VERY close. They spotted it a half yard short.
His elbow was not down at that point. When he goes frame by frame, you can see the elbow continuing to descend. You can tell when it hits the ground because his arm angle changes from the impact. By that point, the ball was on the line to gain.
In all honesty.. the bills should’ve challenged the 3rd down spot but they rushed to qb sneak thinking it wouldn’t be a problem and that they’d get it. I believe if the roles were reversed, Andy Reid challenges the spot there on 3rd down instead of hastily going for a 4th and inches with a rushed qb sneak.
@ you’re probably one of the people that thinks kc gets all the calls. But in reality, Andy Reid challenges the call there. Bills lost because they didn’t capitalize on their opportunities, got out coached, and missed 2 2-point conversions is all I’m saying.

Bills with 3 timeouts, up by 1 and 13 minutes left. So, why the big rush after the 3rd down play? I mean, I know the answer, and it wasn't because the clock was ticking: they were trying to catch the D off guard for the sneak. Not a bad idea... unless they thought there's a good chance that simply challenging the spot of the 3rd down play would have picked up a first down for free. Given your take on which spot was worse, I'm guessing you agree that the Bills chose poorly.
I think it’s because they challenged the Worthy catch earlier and lost that when he clearly didn’t catch it. At that point you probably think anything you challenge won’t go your way. Not to mention wasting a timeout. If they challenge it and don’t get the call, Chiefs can sub in and put the big guys on the field. That’s why they rushed it. Both of them got the 1st Downs. yea man you are right, I forgot all about that! what happen to the chains? They been using them for years! What did they do get rid of it?
I think perhaps they now use lasers to paint the stripes on the field so they are as straight as possible so they can more easily project the official chain spot onto the field when it is on a yard line. Just a guess, I haven't seen them measure with the chains in the past few years.
tbh the chains were always a really bad way of doing it
There’s not much uncertainty of where the line to gain is, and especially here it’s pretty clear where the line to gain is.
There’s a lot more uncertainty in where the ball is spotted, and the refs can be off by a little bit and have it make a big difference.
When they bring out the chains, they’re basically implying that the spot is concrete but they don’t know where is the line to gain. The chains are only useful if you have certainty in the spot but not on where the line to gain is, which I suppose can happen if the line to gain isn’t between yard lines or something.
if the ball is spotted incorrectly, then whatever method they used to measure 10 yards is not going to matter.

If there’s even the slightest way that KC will benefit from a call. The refs will make sure to find a way to help.

I've always thought they should put a "chip in the ball" like you said around 5:55 mark. I feel they should do the same in baseballs. Grant it, it would take the human element out of it but it would be pin point exact! The refs would still call penalties and bases safe or out. Love videos and your amazing work!
Can a chip survive getting the crap hit out of it in a baseball?
Probably not but if it just tracks if it's a ball or strike thru the zone then it would work. If it's hit it's destroyed which is fine cause they'd probably pitch the ball out after a hit due to a scuff.
There's a chip already. Spotting is off by inches and it takes minutes to figure out. It also doesn't work with bodies in the way
In baseball it wouldn't even be a new system.
Mind you, I still think that even with a chip on the ball the ref has to check if the player didn't have a knee or elbow touching the ground like the player extends their bodies to reach the line.
6:50 no Jimmy face overlay? You've changed...
Tbf, it only looks like it crossed the line so much because it did.
Bills defense lost the
Game
And poor coaching 😮
You gotta make a breakdown of the latest Dominican winter baseball finals, absolutely electrifying, you won't be disappointed
Are these clips on YT?
Nfl needs to call Jomboy instead of upstairs
You can probably do a breakdown like this in every chiefs game. I’ve noticed the same thing with refs just putting the ball down and nobody questions it.
It’s funny how Chiefs fans act like the league is out to get them and they don’t get any calls but all these crucial calls or no calls in key situations happen more in their games than any other. They talk about 50/50 calls when we all know 50/50 calls do not exist when it comes to them.
You don’t win 17 straight 1 possession games without getting a vast majority of the 50/50 calls…
In Kansas City, they call those 90/10s.
True but Bills coaching + drops cost them the game.
The fact that the Billionaires decided not to put a chip in the footballs with laser readers on every field to determine where that ball is at all times is so that they can have control over the game through the Officials "THIS IS SAD" Prayerfully this will change for next year's season or the Love of this Game that I Love so much will demish!!!
How is it a fact and where is the proof?
They literally already do that. They’re also in the pylons, chains, and markers.
And what about the Buffalo challenge for an incomplete pass on Worthy's catch? That ball clearly hit the ground, I think that's the first time I've ever agreed with anything Tony Romo has said.
It can touch the ground as long as it doesn't "move"when it does. I don't like the way they handle those. Funny if the defender hadn't trapped it there it probably would've bounced out.
That was ridiculous. I thought they reviewed it on video booth. How couldn't they see that it hit the ground?
Rules were changed a few years ago the ball can touch the ground after possession obtained. Unfortunately the defense lost the ball to a tie up on top of Worthy's chest. The offensive player by rule wins the tie up
you mean the one where they challenged it after the next play had already happened?
@@Ultima742 Yes, the play was dead the moment the nose of the ball touched the ground with Worthy still in possession.
Didn’t even watch the game as a Bills fan because I knew the Chiefs would get bailed by the refs like they always do, and Lo and behold imagine my surprise
I know. I’m guessing KC won the toss and deferred. I wasn’t happy with the Bills getting the ball first. Stopped watching. My watch got a notification. I knew KC had scored. Started watching from the 2nd quarter.
Ok. Let’s face it. They got screwed again. Screw next year. What? They’ll finally win even Mahomes is too old? X Files cigarette guy said Buffalo would never win the Super Bowl. I believe it
AND the Chiefs always win by 3 points.
Happens EVERY time 😂 😂 😂
Fixed
Aarron judge is bill Buckner
Jomboy on the case! 😮
T90Official watches Jomboy? World's collide!
@@Ndlovunkulu I'm honestly more surprised to see he watched the AFC Championship. Love being able to enjoy completely different things like that, albeit they're both still games.
now we need a Jomboy AoE breakdown
Not a fan of either team but I dislike the injustice that was done to this team. As a casual fan, I can't really enjoy these games marred by shoddy referees
If they put a chip in the ball, then the officials can't control the outcomes of games and then somebody else might win besides freaking Kansas City.
Why don’t we rely on tech for this. We can split the atom but we can’t find a way to determine the location of an object in space above a fixed grid?
Not down to half a cm Chips in the balls won't fix as much as you think and loads Camera angles get covered by the players
@@starship2023 Not sure why you're running to any comment about chips, weird.
the chips aren't going to be down to the CM but they would be consistently correct which is the purpose of the tech?...
This is why video replay was invented not to be 100% accurate but to be more consistent in the decisions of refs. Video replay still gets it wrong. So why have video replay if it can't determine the accuracy as an absolute?
You've said 2CM like 50 times so far... a possible 2cm difference is a very small margin of error... I'm not sure why you are promoting that it either has to be deadset with no margin? cause that would be the dumbest thing. Considering the human eye would be lucky to get within a 10cm margin of accuracy, which is what has to be used on replays, and replays have their own drawbacks as it is. a consistent judge that isn't down to what someone sees between frames or the naked eye in real time is superior. end of.
@crazyhorse9298 My point is a chip couldn't determine if this play was short or not amd I was being extremely conservative with the chip accuracy to please you it's more likely a couple inches off
Because tech would take out the option for subjectivity. These spots were a feature, not a bug.
@@crazyhorse9298obviosly aren’t, this whole video disproves that replays work, and the refs in the nfl suck, would just mean mahomes doesn’t win every game
They didn't miss it. It wasn't in the script.
The NFL really needs more replay and review options for making these crucial calls. Just leaving it up to "what they see on the field" leaves it all wide open to interpretation and massaging the outcome.
they want it like that
It’s rigged bro
annnnnd gambling
Congrats on 2M subs!! Well Deserved!!
I'm glad to see there are other reasonable people being objective. These were a couple of tough calls that simply didn't go the Bills way.
No, the spot wasn't correct. I just watched the play frame by frame. The ball already breaking the plane of the 40 yard yard, or at least VERY close. They spotted it a half yard short.
@@ColonelKurtz Being clueless is not the same as being objective.
If the roles are reversed KC gets the first down on the pass play on 2nd down where the reciever was a half yard beyond the first down.
@ you’re probably one of the people that thinks kc gets all the calls. But in reality, Andy Reid challenges the call there. Bills lost because they didn’t capitalize on their opportunities, got out coached, and missed 2 2-point conversions is all I’m saying.
When was the last time a challenge against a ball spot was overturned?
Shouldn’t have to waste a challenge on a poor spot. That should be replay assistance.
Exactly Bills were way out-coached. KC doesn't even need the refs help honestly, but they got it
They had the line to gain before the QB sneak, and if not it was inches away not the 2 feet they put it.
Refs and NFL rigging games
As a Bills fan and a Chiefs hater, I hate everything and I'm never watching the NFL again
Former St. Louis Rams fan. The NFL basically robbed St. Louis by the way they made the decision to move the rams. It was all about the money that moving the team back to LA would make for the owners. The NFL repeatedly lie to the St. Louis commission on what was needed by them to keep the rams there. The NFL consistently change the goal post throughout negotiations. Will never watch another game as these owners don’t care about the fans. Only about how to maximize their profits at the coast to the fans. NFL is rigged.
It's harder for me to enjoy football with how much shit like this goes unpunished
The bills got robbed!
Teach Kincaid how to catch the ball.
Maybe Josh Allen should learn how to throw a football
He was over for first down the refs robbed the Bills going to the superbowl
Jomboy, the most trusted voice in sports. I don’t care if I was in the game with my own video, if Jomboy says I’m wrong, I’m wrong.
With ya
Buffalo should have challenge the spot on the third down play.
They really should have, but the clock was ticking and they all rushed over to try again.
They were not going to bet a timeout that a call that favored the chiefs was going to be changed lol
I think the earlier challenge proves that would not have helped.
There was one failed Challenge in which the Bills player grabbed the ball while the Chiefs player was catching it. They ruled it a Complete pass when it should of been ruled Incomplete since no player had control of the ball before it hit the ground.
@@ryand34561 Um, which clock was ticking exactly? When they snapped the ball on fourth down, the game clock was at 13:01 and the play clock was at 26 seconds. They rushed the snap to try to catch the Chiefs on their heels not because of the clock. 0:36
Why is there not some kind of tech that can track the ball and official line?
There is lol, the NFL just doesn't want to use it.
They Chips in the Balls for Stat tracking but they can't use it for spotting the ball because it's apparently only accurate to within 6 inches of the Spot
EPL can do it on a goal
Soccer uses cameras not chips. Cameras don't work so well when there are 300lb linemen in the way
The Kansas City Cheats
at 3:33, everything is over
I think they should have given them the first down. BUT dragging the down side down isn’t accurate science because the camera angle this was taken from wasnt from directly across the field, it was from an angle closer to the offensive side of the ball
Yes exactly , math would need to be done from exact angle of camera to draw an angled line.
How many years are we going to witness this in the playoffs It’s always in the Chiefs favor.
A challenge only works if you’re playing anyone but the Chiefs.
Refs just took it away.
NFL-NATIONAL FIXED LEAGUE
Why did they keep pushing up the middle on 4th?
They were stopped every single time and kept doing it.
Problem, the camera was on the right side of the line so you weren't drawing it down in a straightline it was skewed left
I like the way all three run up to the line and have a coffee break. Tough to decide whether it's short or there was an illegal formation somewhere.
Its KC. Forget getting it right if that is bad for KC.
Teams should strike and demand better officiating. Let's see the NFL deal with lost money if there's no season.
Let's see the owners of those teams allow there to be no money coming in during the season lmao. What are you even saying. 28/32 Teams owners don't care if theyre in the superbowl or not as long as the business is printing money
