Part of the outstanding soundtrack from The Lord of the Winds: The Waker of the Wind. Keep a look out for its sequels The Two Timelines and The Return of the Triforce.
These are surprisingly great songs to combine. Not only does the chord progression and tempo work well together, but they both have this element of feeling like The Beginning of Something Epic; not just because they are, but also because each song contains a cozy theme with wistful elements. I love this mashup so much, thank you for sharing it with us.
I'm glad that people are still enjoying these mashups even 10+ years after I made them. I think they still hold up, even on re-listen. Hopefully people will continue to enjoy them for another 10+ years.
I think you might be happy to know my husband and I used this mashup to walk down the aisle. It was the perfect music for a happy, cheerful, sunny day in Bologna, Italy: may 27th 2023. Take care ❤
That's so cool! I'm glad that a mashup I made on a whim 10 years ago could be part of such a huge moment for you two! I wish all the best for both of your futures.@@CeciliaVitiello
I just realized that Link is wearing the One Ring around his neck. Oddly, Outset Island in the D Major scale sounds better than the C Sharp Major scale it was originally written in.
This is the only video that puts these two together like I was watching someone doing a playthrough of windwaker and when they’re on outset island I thought hey that sounds sooo similar to the shire theme from lotr
Well, (believe it or not) there's a bunch of mashups that never see the light of day because of one reason or another. I made this literally in about 30 minutes, when it usually takes at least a couple of hours. I was afraid that it was rushed and I might not be mixing carefully enough. Basically, I was paranoid, and I'm glad I followed through. XD
This is pretty epic. Your comment "It's everything you never knew you wanted" is totally right. Oddly enough Michael Jackson's Bad and The song Bum Biddy Biddy Biddy Bum Bum from Eight Crazy Nights sound excellent together. xD
I'm entirely self taught as far as doing mashups are concerned. So I'm not sure about a full blown guide. But I will say that there are a few things that are required to make a mashup work. (for me at least) The songs need to have a similar chord progression. They need to have a similar beat. And there can't be too much noise at once. Otherwise, a perfect match can still clash. Other than that, I guess you just need to have an ear for spotting similar tunes. Not much else to say.
On an island in a small little hut there lived a Hylian.
*This deserves top comment.*
One does not simply walk into the Forsaken Fortress

I can't believe you considered not posting this..... I'm crying with happiness!!!!!!!!!

You're the first to notice. haha
This video is the only one I can find that mashes these together or even mentions that they sound so similar
Thanks! :D
That's the beauty of a mashup. It's everything you never knew you wanted.

Damn, I've never really bothered to listen to music mashups, but this works so well.
Why does this work so perfectly????
Wow this is really cool :D I never would have realised how great these two songs sound together
Lord of the Wind
Ganon, Sauron, someone with a completely valid opinion.

Nice, been liking the music. As always very good
Amazing. Simply amazing.
Beautiful!
chrono U ARE AMAZING
I need this
Link + Ring = Pure Heroic Energy
Ganondorf + Ring = Pure Evil (Dark Beast Ganon x 10)
I always thought Ganondorf was named after Gandalf.
Frodo vs (Toon) Link
Who would win?
(I love Zelda and LOTR)
C.Funk99 Link, because he can actually nut up and fight rather than relying on people to save his damsel ass.
This is Amazing!!
Soooo good!!
love it!
good mash up pal! =0)
And hairy, he is a Hobbit after all.
We are talking about Frodo here, right?
Mp3 please? I'm sorry, but I like this ALOT.
*a lot
also, it's really easy to rip from a browser
WOW
Did I ever tell you how much I love you?
I was considering not even uploading this
Why the fuck?
Chrono, do you have any tips or suggestions to guides for doing mashups? I've been thinking of making one myself. :3
LEGO LOTR is Fits With Zelda Games.
woaa
his feet are so big

Is it me or do they sound similar hmmm
2cute
I KNEW I wasn't going crazy when I thought you could use a LoTR soundtrack for Zelda and vice-versa.
