Hi Daniel.. This works perfectly. My issue is when we have multiple attachments only the last one uploaded comes through as the link. How do we fix this pls?
Thank you brother It’s awesome. I have been working on flows a bit complex way since a we record the status hence the condition applies on status condition. Also our flow works on when item crated on modified. Learnt some useful tricks from you and will surely use it in my future flows. Happy power automating
You are welcome, Jennifer. Yes, it can. OneDrive is the same as SharePoint. Keep in mind that OneDrive is primarily built for individual users so if you plan to build this solution to be shared amongst multiple users then consider a SharePoint site.
Hello sir amazing video! I have a scenario where user will attached multiple iteams and I need to show all of them in the email/ teams alert. Could you suggest how I can do it? Your are a life saver thank you so much!
Daniel this is great. But if an approval is assigned to multiple users and waiting for everyone to respond . Is there any way where in if we can send reminder emails to the users who has not acted skipping the users who has responded. I don't see a direct way.
Hey Santosh, Thanks for the compliment. It's doable but will take some work. For something like this you can create another flow that runs hourly or daily and checks to see if all the approvals have been met, if not then send an email only, not an approval.
Thank you very much Daniel. I was trying to connect with you on LinkedIn but couldn't find your exact link. BTW I saw your smile on the 30th Minute, which is rare lol. Keep up the good work and God Bless You and Your Family!
16:42 mark where you do your first test: I get an error message stating that "Power Automate Approvals has not been installed for this environment". Help!
Are you able to make a guide for Power Apps version for multiple approvers and do an final approval after all the approvers approve it , by using SharePoint as the back-end-data.
Super explained! What should be changed if you like to make it an instant flow instead of an automatic flow. It seems that the approvers email can't be used...
Hey ThaBobby, Thanks for the compliment. Try this. Use the virtual button or scheduled triggers and then a Get Items or Item action for SharePoint. In that SharePoint List, have a control column which the flow looks for to trigger. The column type can be a choice type with start, in-progress, completed choices. Those list items with start are the ones that will complete the flow.
@@DanielChristian19 Hi Daniel - It worked when I changed the browser! I can't thank you enough for your help, this ended my long search into this complicated topic.
I've added that to my to-blog list. I should have it published before the end of this year. My plan is to have two versions of this. 1st focus on text only and 2nd, include file attachments.
Your welcome Anna. Yes you can but it needs a little bit of extra work. In a nutshell, have a status column which keeps track of the approval, Then create another flow that is scheduled on a daily or weekly basis. That flow will filter all the items whose status is either in-progress or pending and sends a reminder for all of them.
Hello Daniel, I'm working on a project that requires this approval feature but the trigger is modify list item, if approver response is rejected the item must retrieve the original values of the item (before editing) , is there any lecture on this, help is really appreciated!!!! Greetings from Costa Rica
Hi Sergio, No videos on this topic but here's what you can do. Create another list where a copy of the item is saved either before a change is made. This list is what keeps track of all the versions and this list is also what you can use to great a report for history and versions. The new list needs to record the ID of the primary list. This is how you can build the relationship.
@@DanielChristian19 Thanks lot, I figured this out by using an HTTP request to Sharepoint to recover all item Versions and then some JSON code, thanks a lot, great videos BTW!!!!

Sachin, I haven't tired 5 levels of approvals so this is news to me. I recommend you post this in the Power Automate user community since there are Microsoft folks there who are monitoring.
Hi, Daniel great video, But I have a question after getting an Approval request I can see the approval details and after Accept/Reject, the Apporval details are gone and I can't see what I approved or rejected for is there any way to keep those Approval Details?? after accepting or rejecting? Help
Hi Mustafa, It all depends on which step you are looking at to find the approval information. I make use of the metadata immediately after the approval action or at least inside the same apply to each.
@@DanielChristian19 I meant about the Approval Details Sections to be there as it is in the Approval card in Outlook Email after Approve/Reject. Do you understand?
Hey Daniel Great Video Once Again! I have scenario where there will be two levels SharePoint Form submission. Kindly help me with this.
Hi Madhuri, You will need a control column for this. I would title it as a status or level. This will help keep track of which level of approval the request is in. The 1st level of approval goes through the sub-manager and then the manager. You can also add comments column for both the levels. Keep powerapping!
Nicely explained. Could you please help . . . If there is a way to trigger approval confirmation email from respective approvers email id instead of my email id (power automate created by me) ??
Hey Jeff, I don't know if there is a way to clone an existing list. You can create a flow that can create the list you want again and again. Take a look a the Sample Crisis Communication App. It comes with a flow that will build the list and it's columns. You can get some idea from there. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/sample-crisis-communication-app
Hi Daniel! Do you know for how long an approval status and its attachments are kept for if retained in a doc library versus a list? For audit purposes, I need for the multiple approvals to be kept until infinity. Also, my approval attachments are all in a doc library. Can I perform the above same steps if approval and its status' are in a Doc Library? Advisement would be GREATLY appreciated! I need all the help I can get!
Hey Salley, The approval status is a column in the SharePoint list so that value can remain there as long as you wish. The flow run duration limit is 30 days only. As far as documents go, I have built flows where active docs are kept in one library for a certain period of time and once completed moved somewhere else.
@@DanielChristian19 Thank you so much for your rapid reply. If needing the trigger to be when either a file --or--folder is added, is there a way to do this on one flow?
