Lysosomal Protein Targeting

In this video we will be discussing about Protein Targeting to Lysosomes that involves the Transport of Proteins from Trans Golgi Network to Lysosomes via Endosomes.
This is the vesicular transport where we see the formation of vesicles in the form of Clathrin coated and Retromer coated vesicles being bud off from the Trans Golgi and Endosome respectively.
The Mannose 6 Phosphate receptor is used during the transport of Lysosomal Hydrolase Precursors.

How does the M-6-P receptor (or the vesicle) know where the lysosome is? What makes the vesicle go to the lysosome and not somewhere else?

M-6-p directs the Vesicle towards the Endosome which has m6p receptor and then this Endosome will fuse with the lysosome.

So there is a M-6-P receptor on the vesicle and on the endosome as well?

M-6-p is lodged into Vesicle like a tag....
And this tag (m-6-p ) is recognized by Endosome m-6-p receptor.
