may wanna take a real close look at Judith Durham. Nobody outside of the Big O walked in her shoes. At least not in the 60's she was absolutely in her own league. In the 70's we had singers like Jennifer Rush that came along and in the 80's the incomparable Sissel. But in the 60's? Judith owned it on the female side.
Yes, the 1960s were a different time---as was pointed out---and an era which people of various age groups today find fascinating for its styles, music, and culture in general. And just as you are entitled to your opinion, so are those who disagree with you. If you prefer the current culture, then by all means enjoy it---embrace it, if you will. It's your choice.
Every decade has its share of great singers. The sixties were the start of my musical education. These women certainly had that rare quality of style and talent. Great talent will always be rediscovered by future generations. Wait until they discover the magic of Bassey and Streisand and all those who amazing talents that have brought us to today. Makes me want to see what the next great generation will discover and who will bring us the new standards.

@@jacquelinekingsley9077 Marianna Faithfull foi a mulher mais linda que testemunhei na vida
Biased‼️
may wanna take a real close look at Judith Durham. Nobody outside of the Big O walked in her shoes. At least not in the 60's she was absolutely in her own league. In the 70's we had singers like Jennifer Rush that came along and in the 80's the incomparable Sissel. But in the 60's? Judith owned it on the female side.
Well I still play all of these artists regularly , love them all and they’re certainly not forgotten in my home along with so many others ❤
GREAT ERA ! GREAT MUSIC ! GREAT ENTERTAINERS !
Wow, reading all these remarks here, what more can you say. This is class and I love it and miss it so much!!!
What a great arrangement for Petula Clark.
Hi Cheryl💐💐
Plus a beautiful dress ❤
Make Him Mine, what a great song! Never heard it before. I like the 'chugging' acoustic guitar in the rhythm section.
When ladies were ladies, when singers had voices, when music was music.
Yes Dusty Really Liked The Girls…!
When I was a kid, I used to sing "Downtown" all the time. Still a great song.
nice collection of the great brit female pop stars of the sixties.
Também Helen Shapiro e Lulu
Petula’s male dancers are a riot.
Yeah, how bad was that? It was really, what's the word? Gay?
@@lamarravery4094 'Gay' is an understatement. Try 'flaming'..
Never heard " Make Him Mine" before. Should have been a bigger hit.
I remember that song, Down Town, thanks for the video. Brings back memories.
R.I.P. Dusty Springfield ❤purity of heartfelt soul, gorgeous ❤❤
Marianne Faithful sounded to me like what I imagined an Angel must sound like. And looked even prettier. Oh what a time to grown up in.
Susan Maughan that's my girl she gives me goosebumps
She had only one hit but Lulu's interpretation of To Sir With Love was one of the best from the Sixties!
Not true. She did indeed have more hits.
One of, if not the most skilful singers of all time. She was pitch perfect. Sadly missed.
Judith Durham.
Who?
Gosh I miss those days 💔
Wonderful voice...miss them all..
Muy buena musica con las señoritas Singer años sesentas inolvidables
Ricardo Alegria zambrano
Popayan cauca Colombia
Shame you left out the best...Judith Durham.
One of the finest female voices of the 20th century.
And Karen Carpenter.
@@danm9006 Absolutely
@@blindspott1060 did anyone have a voice as pure as Karen? One of the greats, for sure.
@@danm9006 Yes, Judith Durham & Judy Collins. Not to mention Mary Travers.
@@blindspott1060 OMG! So true. I saw her perform once. Just a wonderful person.
☺️
Just pure music and a classic act
Every decade has its share of great singers. The sixties were the start of my musical education. These women certainly had that rare quality of style and talent. Great talent will always be rediscovered by future generations. Wait until they discover the magic of Bassey and Streisand and all those who amazing talents that have brought us to today. Makes me want to see what the next great generation will discover and who will bring us the new standards.
Sadly you will be waiting for some time, the gene pool is weird now 🥹
the generations of the 21st century have done NOTHING for "pop". You gotta look elsewhere like out of the USA and at crossover singers like Sissel, Enya and a few others.
It's so sixties. Love it. All had great talent and star quality
Susan Maugham....so gorgeous.
I wish I could revisit the 60s just once more
Oui vraiment très très séduisante...💓
John Lennon chegou a ter um caso com a cantora em 1965
@@armandobarbosa2914 really?
This is the first song l can remember hearing when it was actually a hit. That voice did something to me even tho I was 5.
Dusty is the most underrated singer of the 60's
as is her 'Please don't go'....😘😎
Wonderful classic music!
Love Susan Maughan's singing, looks a lot like Dianna Rigg
Pure talent, no damm gimmicks!
OMG, what I would give to go back to this time era
