- Here are some of the sights and sounds of Target Field from Oct. 4, 2023. The Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays 2-0 to advance to the ALDS. It was a great crowd once again in Game 2, and I spent the game wandering around the stadium and collecting clips to share.
Both the video and audio are pretty raw, it was all just shot on an iPhone SE, so not professional gear by any means. I don’t think this fully captures the sound/atmosphere, but I wanted to do my best to bring those of you who were not able to attend closer to the ballpark.

I think the one really big pop I missed was Caleb Thielbar's massive inning-ending double play. That was among the louder reactions all series.
Thielbar has been so good these past few years and never gets enough love across the league imo. Where was Pagan ? Just didn’t need him?

Happiest ive ever been as a Twins fan. I was 4 years old when they got to the ALCS vs Anaheim, so this is the furthest ive ever seen them get! We gonna run through Houston baby!

My homer hanky from 1991 is white. They showed up better than the red.
I guess the rules are they can't be white anymore so as not to interfere with the players ability to see the ball. I'm just happy it's a hanky again after they had more of a towel the previous couple times.

You nailed it. The bullpen was dominant. Duran was an absolute perfect end for the game. The Jays hitters were looking around with a "what the heck can I do?" grimace on their faces. Twins win!

This game I think might have been better than the first one. And I honestly think we have a chance to beat the Astros. This postseason has been incredible so far, and I am sad we have to wait until Saturday. 😅

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Today was kinda the perfect circumstance for me to do this, I'm not sure it'll work out that way if I attend any of the ALDS games. It's an odd way to spend the day at the ballpark, but I had fun. I also think this will be a video I come back to and re-watch, so I'm glad it worked out.

I did! But what's funny is I got a way bigger workout yesterday when I basically stayed in one spot but was screaming and jumping around and swinging my homer hanky like crazy.

I've been a Twins fan my whole life. I went to games 1 and 6 of the 1987 World Series. I was 13. Hrbek's grandslam in game 6 is still the loudest, most electric moment I've ever experienced. The atmosphere at Target Field these 2 games brought back so many memories of their World Series runs in 87' and 91'. I've remained die hard through the years and years of disappointment and playoff heartbreaks. These 2 wins are now so much sweeter! I believe this team can go all the way! Thanks for sharing this!! Let's go Twins!!!

I was 9 and 13 years old during the '87 and '91 series' and I remember those games like yesterday. My best Twins moment would have to be being at game 163 vs. Detroit back in '09. These games were right up there even though it's the Wildcard round. Such great energy! Let's keep rolling! GO TWINS!
After being there for the trilling game one I HAD to make it back to the ballpark for game 2. The crowd and atmosphere were fucking epic for both games. Looking forward to heading there again on Tuesday!

Jays manager pulled one of the dumbest moves ive ever seen. Pull your 100 Million dollar pitcher after 3 Scoreless, pretty dominant innings.
Baldelli nearly matched him by, again, pulling our lefties immediately on a pitching change. Once they're out, Toronto did what they all do- they throw right handed relievers from there on out. Our pitching won this for us, so we were fortunate. We can't count on shutouts to win games though, and Rocco needs to manage the bench like he's got a brain. There's a lesson to be learned from the Jays doing what the ipad says vs (obvious) human baseball IQ.
@@markarmani9636 Nope, that was the smart play. They scored runs after the pinch hits and once you have the lead you get to control the game.
And you're ignoring that Willi is a switch hitter and they have 2 other good lefties they could have put out there whenever Kirilloff or Wallner came back out.

And by the way, by far the best Twins coverage majors and minors. I think at 1 point during the season when it was looking really grim. May have had a couple back-and-forths with you about the direction of the team. Maybe some trade talks about a certain pitcher or 2. But looking back at it now you were right I was wrong haha. But really, it's the passion for the team that makes us fans.
There was a stretch in which the lineup couldn't score and the bullpen was slumping where I was pretty down on this team but I had hope that they'd sort through their issues. It would have been difficult at that time to imagine they'd have done it as well as they have.

She's a treasure. I try to make it a point to get up there for the 7th inning stretch. I had to plan ahead to get in there before it filled up today.

I was at game #156 this year, it was my FIRST Twins game since the Dome. Target Field is an amazing place to be.
I think there were 27,000 fans there on that day but you could already feel the postseason energy.
Seeing this video gives my goosebumps goosebumps.

LFG TWINS! I didnt cry, I screamed a little bit, threw out a couple expletives but the rest was just awe. I didnt know how to react, the last time the twins won a playoff GAME was when i was less than 4 and a series i was 2. Atlanta better watch out! Lets go twins!
Nice of you to say that they were hard-fought games, but the Jays didn't show up offensively. 1 extra base-hit throughout the entire series. 9 runners left on-base yesterday. They should have done a lot better and they bottled it.
