Just took me a few hours to experiment with this - it's one of the best Teal & Orange Looks I applied for quite a while. Looks like old Hollywood movies. Works even more shiny for HLG/HDR footage - unbelievable look! Thanks so much for sharing!
First of all, thank you very much for the video, I learned a lot of little new things again. I currently have the problem that if I want to bring back yellow tones, they turn green due to the hue shift. What can I do there?
@@george.colorist Yes, with the deep blue and orange look, if I want to adjust the intensity of the look a bit, the color tones shift. I adjusted the blue and orange node with the key output gain. But the hue node after that shifts the colors.
@@maxhartung9019 After turning down the gain on that node, go to the hues node and adjust the Hue control in the primaries panel so you align the vectorscope again with the skin tone indicator line. I mention it and demonstrates how to do this in the tutorial so you can go back and watch if this doesn't make sense. 🙏🏼
Omg finally i found a tutorial where someone uses channels... its just everyone else seems to ignore this powerful tool. I use it all the time for example.
I like this. Thanks. I set my blue/orange node and my hue node into one compound node then I can key them together. I currently have it disabled but its a cool addition to my node tree!
bro you crazy. If I ever fully switched to resolve, I would totally buy a course from you. The best communication to me are made of 3 things, Quick, concise, and contextual. 🔥the other crazy dude is avery peck, but he hasnt posted in a minute.
Thanks for watching. And yes! If you want a more teal color then you can use the Hue vs Hue curve to move the blue towards teal. Id recommend making that adjustment in the Hues node.
@@george.colorist I'm recording on my bmpcck4 So 1-I'm creat two first nodes: NR node and whites balance 2- I'm create my CST node to convert bmpcc4k gem 5 to Davinci Wgamut 3-After that a do all my Grading (i trying) 4-And at the end pour my grade, put CST OUT node to go to rec709 Do you thinks I'm rights? Hi, can you explain (maybe on your webpage where you download the LUT + Powergrade?) what .drx and .dpx files are and how do I use them/import them into DaVinci Resolve after I've downloaded the zip file? I'm new to colour grading - I know how to import the LUT but not sure what to do with drx and dpx. Thanks!

Glad it worked well for your footage! Thanks for watching.
I'm awestruck at the simplicity.

Hey Max. Do you mean in the context of this deep blue and orange look or with some other grade?

Nice. Thats good for saving a little bit of space on the node graph 👍🏼 Thanks for watching!
Nomadic george back at it with bangerdsd
"It's one of the best tutorials I've seen, thank you very much. I would love to see a similar tutorial with the vintage color look."
love your tuts, a very different work flow to other colorists.

I appreciate that! Quick, concise, and contextual makes for the best tutorials for sure 👍🏼
Well done. Beautiful look and technique.
Thank you Filip 🙏🏼
Please make course about creating look (without plugin). Help us understanding different kind of look / color techniuque like thiz one
Another great one from you. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm trying this technique out right away.
Thanks for watching Tony! 👊🏼
Is there an option to add the same way the glow to the group of clips or timeline? Or I will have to use the qualifier?
Great lesson. You deserve much more subscribers.
Thanks for the kind words and for subbing. Welcome! 🤝🏼
Like always George you keep surprising 😮 first time I see this technique and I can wait to try it!!
Amazing work! Love all your videos man 🙌🔥
It's great tutorial and thank you mate.
Great tutor Sir
Brilliant, I love this video!
Thanks for watching Robert.
In this node tree where would you put the colour space transform node?
I would put it at the end of the node tree.
Great content! Helps me a lot 🙂 Thank you!
Hey. Glad to hear so. Thanks for watching.
great colorist to work with.
Thank you for this bro, can I use the same process to get the teal and orange look? what changes do you reccomend?

I don't understand where the Ext. Matte come from ? (the one you use for your glow)
Where can I get it ?
You right click on a serial node and at the bottom of the drop down menu, go to Add Matte and then choose your clip from the options it gives you.
awesome man ! and for exemple where do you aply CST IN and OUT PUT ?
I would recommend placing it towards the end before the film grain node. 👍🏼
@@george.colorist oooh Nice,
So the CST IN after the NR nood and
The CST OUT before the grain node 😁
Thanks my grade skill improved a lot !
@@mraw_prime If youre just converting your footage from log to 709 then place it at the end.👍🏼 How are you trying to use the CSTs?

Go to the color page, gallery, right click in a bin of your choice, import, point to where you stored the dpx/Drx files. That should do it.
@@senpera thanks I’ll try that!
can you spill your backsound??
It's so funny to watch some "training" videos where they show some weird vision and knowledge.
