Yes, I'm from Bangalore and I have actually seen the line 'Ivathu hogi, naalle baa' which means 'go today, come tomorrow'
Its based on a myth called "Nale Baa" in Karnataka, which means "Come Tomorrow." It was written across the walls and door of the homes in the village so that the Ghost would come tomorrow and the cycle repeats continuously, sparing the people from the ghost. "Stree Kal Aana" was written across the walls in the trailer that means "Come Tomorrow Woman" in Hindi. Since the Belief the Ghost will only enter the home if invited.
It's not only from Karnataka but I have heard from my mom she's from telengana and even from my dad who's from Maharashtra they told that even they used to write on walls of their villages and towns " come tomorrow "

It was so unreal, as a kid I have seen every home in my village had the sign which translates to English as " O women come tomorrow"

This movie is supposedly based on a true event/ urban legend in Karnataka where there was mass hysteria about a witch which would knock on doors by mimicking the voice of their loved ones and if the person opens the door they die within 24 hours. So in order to protect themselves, the people wrote "Naale Baa" on their doors which means "come tomorrow", People still believe that the witch and the stories are all true....

The only difference was that there people used to put handprints of Henna, you know, mehendi, to keep the witch away. Rest of the story was the exact same. About the peeing scene, I have noticed something really weird in Hollywood movies... In quite a few Hollywood movies (mostly Judd Apatow) I've seen there is sometimes a scene where a couple is together and one of them has to poop, so they will leave the door wide open and poop in front of their bae and have normal conversations, and too me that's pretty gross. It's not that hard to close the door, and tbh it's kind of a turn off. I really don't think it's that common in real life, because I'm American and I've never heard of such a thing. 🤷🏻♀️

Ghost lady in movie was not cheap dummy only hanging on wires, but a well portrayed horror face ghost lady. I have seen many horror movies of Bollywood & hollywood but in this stree movie, ghost lady is really make chill in veins by her face & appearance, really scary... And comedy of rajkumar rao and all others is awesome in movie. This is really a good Paisa-vasool movie.

The story is based on an urban legend popular in Bengaluru in the 1990s. It was said that a witch would knock on the doors and call out people by mimicking their relatives. The person who opens the door would die in 24 hrs. People found a solution by writing Nale Ba (in kannada) on their doors and walls which translates to Come back tomorrow. In some parts 1st April is observed as Nale ba day. In trailer also it is seen stree Kal Ana on walls which means woman come tomorrow in Hindi.
