It is kinda fun for a while. But when you discover all of the places on the map, it is just same shit over and over. At least I got this game on big sale, so it was like 15$ including DLCs.

My personal favorite experience in Euro Truck Simulator 2 was driving in the middle of the night on a single-lane road and seeing a car coming up the wrong way directly in my face because they were trying to pass another truck. I slammed my brakes *hard* and actually got super startled.
When I saw "Eurotruck Simulator" pop up, I thought it was gonna be a chill and laid back episode with Dan and Arin telling stories... but wow, I didn't expect to laugh as much as I did this episode, this was awesome. :,D
Great episode. I especially love how they started off by trying to obey traffic laws only to start trying to run all of the other vehicles off the road once they got to the highway.
Watched a video yesterday of a truck driver driving into a parking lot outside the store he’s supposed to drop the shipment at, ramming into an entire line of parked cars and then having a mob of angry people storm the truck and get the keys from the ignition. Hoping this simulator will be true to life.
20:29 I have a very similar dream to this a lot and I think it must be because, like Arin, I was also a Florida child. Shitty two-lane highways that stretch out over a seemingly endless expanse of water are common there, especially at the tip. There's no steep rises and falls in real-world Florida, but in my probably-Florida-based dream it's like I'm driving up Japan's Eshima Ohashi bridge and there's cars all around and I can't merge off and I'm not driving I'm a passenger and I'm 12 and I'm shidding and farding
This game is strangely satisfying to play and watch, so I definitely would hope we see more eventually. To also answer Dan's question, yes they are modeled after real places across Europe (and the US, in the case of American Truck Sim). They take photos of the major cities and landmarks that'll be included, and try to recreate it in-game to a smaller scale because you don't actually explore the entire city when passing through. And as far as traveling to the UK goes from the mainland countries, you do travel on a ferry with your truck, too. It's a very fascinating game, and they're always working to add new regions and places to travel through the DLCs.
Arin's explanation of the dream where the road is on a hill that goes up and down WAY too harshly is perfectly accurate. I had a dream where I was sledding down one of these roads, it was completely iced over. I slid all the way down one of the roads holding on for dear life, then hit the uphill portion and went absolutely flying into the atmosphere, and the moment you start falling, you get that uncontrollable sinking feeling of terror, only to wake up just before hitting the ground.
Great game, one of my go-to relaxing sims. Also enjoying how Arin and Dan appear to have completely forgotten that they played this before! Would love to see more episodes of this; once you get a feel for everything it's a great game to just have on in the background while shooting the shit, like Dan says.

Very relaxing and chill game. For most. lol, Hope they do more. And on the off chance yall read this, money is stupid easy after a certain point. Get to where you own two garages far away from one another, hire a couple extra drivers to make your company money and then fast travel between the two owned garages. It skips time, givbing you the money your hired folk make. Few mins real time of quick travel and a few months in game go by. Once you have enough drivers its easy money. And the multiplayer scene is entertaining, should absolutely grab some friends and do a convoy.
Speaking of Convoy, wasn't there once this insanely huge Online traffic Jam, of just trucks all lined in front of each other because the road was blocked by someone in that game?

Peace from Sweden (that is the jibberish you can hear at the Metro train annoncment in OD5)
I always have dreams about this same multi-level highway. I'm driving along and there's holes in the highway that drop down to lower levels of highway. I try to stay up as high as I can, but I keep falling down. Eventually, at the bottom of this highway stack, the road is just barely floating above the water in broken segmented pieces. Water is splashing up onto these floating chunks as I try to continue driving along without going under. It's really horrifying in the dream.

Something I'm loving about almost every single episode that they're uploading is hearing Allie laughing in the background, cus that makes me laugh too.
Also, this is not one of the "tens of thousands of dollars in DLC" games; this one's relatively reasonable. Train Simulator has over 600 pieces of DLC, many of them _twenty bucks each_ . It's insanity. And they do model real roads, they just do it at a reduced scale to fit everything in. They include specific features of places/towns, but mainly capture the "feel" of everything else. Very well, too.
This game isn't the one with thousands of dollars worth of DLC, thats train sim. This game's dlc is 18 bucks each and theres like 6 of them. Id say it's worth it if you really enjoy the game.
I can already see at least one GG Animated from the driving section alone. Two guys and a girl on a road trip to Graz, having the time of their lives, cutting off and flipping off everybody on the road, telling each other random stories and jokes. Feels a bit like how they often portray freedom in Hollywood movies. Feels a lot like a metaphor for long playthroughs on Game Grumps ("It's not the destination, it's the journey")
YEEEESSSS!! I wanna see Arin rant about city planning and molesting other drivers and screwing up and screaming in horror when he gets into an accident and Dan being all chill and talking about it in a big roadtrip energy kinda thing, maybe with a soundtrack like Observation Duty. This game is amazing and has loads of potential for Grump shenanigans. Also, at least play it with a controller. Really hope this isn't a one-off.
Day 31 (since the death of the giraffe town playthrough): As the world record holder of giraffe town, I can say that the former world record holder Lam is from the UK. That's the best I can do for bringing in giraffe town into truck game
If Arin's "all the DLC costs $60,000" comment put anyone off giving it a go - I'm pretty sure he was thinking of Train Simulator - ETS dlc is pretty affordable and goes on sale often
Maybe I missed them saying something toward the beginning of the ep, but how do they not remember playing this already? Lol. Arin wrecked his trailer and blocked traffic.
Oh my God, please keep playing this game! I don't know why this is so entertaining, but it just is lol watching you guys driving a truck and shooting the s#!t just kills me. I think Arin and Danny should totally play Farming Simulator together, would love to see the antics!
Can confirm as someone who's worked in shipping and receiving, I've definitely watched drivers do a terrible job backing up to the dock and said, "What the hell is this guy doing?" many, many, many times.
These foul grumps cashing in on our good Christian SuperMega boyz territory is beyond the pale! Also if they continue this series I wonder who will rack up more debt the grumps or SuperMega?
There's a video where a truck driver reverses so SKILLFULLY that they park so that a teabag attached to the truck dips perfectly into a mug, which the truck doesn't crush. So satisfying
The trick with reversing any kind of trailer is that you have to kind of catch it when it starts turning otherwise it goes very wrong very quickly. I am impressed by how well Arin handled it, it's very hard to do in general, but especially when you can't feel the trailer through the coupling because it's not real life. Seriously, next time you are in any kind of vehicle, pay attention to what you can feel through your seat, you can learn a lot about the road (If applicable) and vehicle.

Well there are a whole lot of skin DLCs, but definitely not thousands of dollars worth, lol
I think Train simulator is the one with thousands of dollars of dlc
@@christopherson93 It has reached over $10,000
This is like a spiritual successor to the Geoguessr series AND I AM HERE FOR IT
This was so entertaining! I would love to watch more content like this!
I can already see at least one GG Animated from the driving section alone. Two guys and a girl on a road trip to Graz, having the time of their lives, cutting off and flipping off everybody on the road, telling each other random stories and jokes. Feels a bit like how they often portray freedom in Hollywood movies. Feels a lot like a metaphor for long playthroughs on Game Grumps ("It's not the destination, it's the journey")
i can’t remember the last time i laughed so hard. please play more of this
Not gonna lie, slight anxiety hitting those bends at 90km/h.
Part 2 please, this had me dying
I love hearing Allie laugh in the background, it's contagious
"So... do I just park over here?" - something I used to say all the time when I drove for a living. 🤣🤣
Day 31 (since the death of the giraffe town playthrough): As the world record holder of giraffe town, I can say that the former world record holder Lam is from the UK. That's the best I can do for bringing in giraffe town into truck game
This is unironically one of my favourite games and I really hope it becomes a series
This is way more fun than I thought it was going to be😂
Can confirm as someone who's worked in shipping and receiving, I've definitely watched drivers do a terrible job backing up to the dock and said, "What the hell is this guy doing?" many, many, many times.
These foul grumps cashing in on our good Christian SuperMega boyz territory is beyond the pale! Also if they continue this series I wonder who will rack up more debt the grumps or SuperMega?
The Grumps already played this a few years ago
This was something I wouldn't expect from the grumps and I didn't know I needed. Now we have to get them playing Snowrunner.
I love that Allie is in the background dying laughing as quietly as she can 🤣
There's a video where a truck driver reverses so SKILLFULLY that they park so that a teabag attached to the truck dips perfectly into a mug, which the truck doesn't crush. So satisfying
Arin did amazing here! Great job! Please keep this up
The trick with reversing any kind of trailer is that you have to kind of catch it when it starts turning otherwise it goes very wrong very quickly.
A very relaxing game, whilst also being the game to give you the most anxiety.
As someone who logs trucks in and out of a yard all night, that tutorial experience was more representative than most people will ever know.
