Nice job, Ben! Agree about the music, take it down a notch, please. Love the tool twirling! Thanks for drawing out the reason for "heels down" - to engage the secondary (side) points- the difference between balancing on a cane or standing on a tripod. Kicking explanation could use more organization. I find many folks swing their feet with fairly straight legs, not that they intentionally point their toes down. But when they bring their knees up and swing their feet - as Anne actually did - the toes (usually) automatically go up with no additional conscious effort. So try kicking with knees up! As for feet separation, I say feet close for mobility (stepping up), and wide for stability. Mostly. Unless there are big honkin' pockets or ledges- always use the terrain first. Ice love!
@@SeekOutTheAdventure - The ice was great. Most of the time it felt like Hero Ice. One nice swing & your tool would have a solid stick. We hit up everything from picked out routes, mixed climbing, thin routes, & leading. I am going to try and post day 2 today to my channel.
@@kodaexploring5176 very jealous. We've been doing a lot of snowboarding lately. I've been out ice climbing twice this season. I need to get the wife and kids out to try it as well.
very instructional video .. but please next videos lower the background music !! it is really really distracting, I am watching an instructional video for valuable information and for the music. For Music I can go to the pub or danse club
1. Music is bad and too loud. 2. Title VERY misleading and borderline click-bait. 3. Just a dude bugging a bunch of climbers at the ice crag to make a mediocre TH-cam vid. Sorry not sorry: just honest criticism.
Uses Conrad Anker in the title. Talks to Conrad for like 30 seconds.

Love the content but jesus christ why that music...and why so loud?
Nice, useful video. I presume the music was meant a bit ironically.
I wonder how Conrad feels about this.
Just finished up 4 days of ice climbing in Ouray myself. Such a epic weekend. I just posted the 1st video to my TH-cam channel
Koda Exploring that’s awesome. Was the ice good? I’m excited to go watch your video.

@@SeekOutTheAdventure - That would be awesome to get the kids on the ice. Easy sport to learn and good to teach them young
I appreciate the video... I really do but us viewers couldn't care less about the music - especially with bad and distracting music.
Wow thats a true legend right there! Thanks for the video and the tips!
Hey, love the video. I’m wondering how I know if my tool rotates around my pinkie or my index finger, any tips (I use the Cassin X-Dream)?
1 made it one minute before the music drove me away
Sorry about that. Learned an important lesson with this video and my oversight in balancing out the audio levels.

Music sometimes is too loud :(
We all know Conrad climbs his hardest routes with Black Diamond Venoms and leashes :P
SpookyAction we all know that he DID, but now he’s all Petzl these days.
The music and background clatter really spoil this video - sorry guys.
Can you speak up over the music please?
Unwatchable with the loud, obnoxious music.
such good comments from such good climbers, but can barely hear over the music:( -- just re-edit, please.
Agreed on the music. I'm working on getting the audio levels better balanced.
good advice, but irrelevant music making it hard to hear
What camera are you using? Do you use any helmet mounted GoPros?
I believe that all or most of this footage was shot on a GoPro. I rarely mount it on my helmet. I mostly hand hold it or use a bite mount.
Edit the video and get rid off the music or lower the volume. Trying to learn from the pros, music makes hard to listen.
sorry about that. I definitely messed up on that video with the audio levels.
Wtf is that background music 🤯
ERGO is TOP SUPER
The music ruined everything 😪
bakground music is WAY tooo loud, and is really annoying and disturbing. Please slack on the music on future videos

Thanks for the honest feedback. I'll see what I can do to hit those three points next time.
