80s to 90 all ashawo joints in Onitsha always play Ghana music , that is when we start life, thank God for today, many have going,
As a Nigerian in her early 50’s, we enjoyed these Ghanaian high life music at traditional marriages, weddings, burials in the Eastern part of Nigeria (Igbo tribe) back in the 70’s and 80’s. We were kids but danced to the music early in the morning and mid afternoons, mostly when we visited the village for such occasions. Very nostalgic 😢!! Miss my parents. I can visualize our village compounds🥰❤️
Yes m’m
Hi life for life
These songs are still being blasted in Ochanja and Head Bridge motor parks in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. The ocho passengers and the weed-smoking touts love them to no end.
❤ for the ❤
All the over 60yrs. raise the roof!
That's was when Ghana was Ghana.
Most of these old Ghana songs were produced in Nigeria
Nigeria was once the Europe of Africans but now look!
I tell you
The bassist on this Album should be given given some riddim award. Great base
I love this song ❤
It's now I am appreciating these lovely Ghana highlife songs more. They are still the favourite of Onitsha main market and Aba city. They would rather play this than any other. Ghanaians do not know that these old bands still reign supreme in so many parts of South Eastern Nigerian markets.
This is the best of life old school may Almighty Allah bless the olden days 🙏👌😍🎉🎉🎁💟

Ooooohhh
Waaoooh
This man ADOFO laid d foundation for Kofi Sammy & Okukuseku, Ashanti AfrikaJah, Opambuo’s Band & CANADOES to follow & succeed in d East in d late 70s & 80s. He is d pacesetter of this brand of highlife music in that era.
Adofo is alive. He is not done yet. He is still blasting and we're enjoying every bit oh him. Thank you for the acknowledgement.

Where, howand when did we miss all these wisdom-packed lyrics and talent?
I can't believe that im still rocking on this master piece in 2023......🎉🎉🎉❤
I miss Aba too much 😅
Yeboah Driver, alias "Wo Ampaa?" of Kwahu Apradan. When one missed the Wo Ampaa lorry during the 70's, at Nkawkaw after 2pm one would need to circumnavigate to Apradan via Pankese, then bustle the remaining distance through Yaw Korkor village.
Thanks for the background of that music. Makes sense with wisdom. Adofo is really great.
