If i may ask what day did you come to do park when you filmed the video? Are the number of visitors vary largely depending if its on a weekend or weekday? Since this is during winter is it still as crowded or less crowded as if it's in summer? sorry if im asking a lot, thank you!
Love ur video!!! Universal Studios Beijing is extremely crowded during summer time no joke. So if anyone is planning to go there in July or August, express ticket is a must😂😂😂
Love this, *_Thank You_* for this experience, because I know its not easy to film while making sure you capture as much as possible, and yet, still want to try and enjoy the experience itself. ♥️
Thank you for sharing all of those tips at the end of the video. I'm sure it will come in handy at some point. My niece loves Kungfu Panda and How To Train A Dragon, so I was considering maybe she'd appreciate a trip like this. She's still in Primary School, so there are some things I'm sure she'll love in this video. Thanks for sharing your experience, it almost felt like I was there with you. I'm going on to watch your Shanghai Disneyland video now too. I'm from Singapore btw and I have family in Canada, so I could totally relate with your video. I also couldn't help comparing the Universal Studios Singapore park with the one in Beijing as I was watching this. Made me want to visit the Beijing park now.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! And for trying all the rides, food, and merch in the cold! I haven't got the chance to visit the park since it opened, so I am so glad to be experiencing it for the first time through your camera! P.S. The character collab featured on the ice cream and the popcorn bucket is from a Chinese mobile game that's super popular. And the director in front of the new pre-show for Lights, Camera, Action is a famous Chinese director who directed the opening ceremony for the Beijing olympics (amongst his many other works)
Incredible video. First time catching your channel. You have a real gift for what you do. We have done Paris and hope to make it to the Chinese and Japanese Parks in the near future. Thank you !
I was a Transformers kid, sadly I never really had any toys of them as a kid. But my favorite is and always will be the King of the Dinobots, Grimlock!
I'm shocked that there was only 5 - 10 minute wait on every ride you went early in the day on Christmas time! I thought it was gonna be crowded, but apparently people get to the parks late... 🤷♀ Love the video btw!!
7:50 90s kid here, and Transformers was one of the first fandoms I found myself in aside from Marvel. I grew up watching G1TF - my favorites are Prowl, Bluestreak, Jetfire, Mirage, and Smokescreen
Thank you for sharing! We will be in Beijing in May and hope to make it there! What days of the week were you there? Am hoping it will be emptier midweek! ❤
It’s called DeepL. I like it cause it’s more accurate and from what I noticed wasn’t blocked from the firewall if you were online (and the VPN not working sometimes) I forgot to put it in the description. Thank you for the reminder!
I am going to Universal Studios on a Sunday. Do you think it is a MUST to buy Express Pass or the queuing would not be too long? 900RMB for 14 main attractions.
The theming for Panda had to be grand. To do it justice respectfully in the country in which it’s supposed to originate. Another box checked off for universal in doing it right.
Hi Chris! Just curious, why was the park so empty? Is it because of the season, or was it a day for press only? What am I missing 😂 Looks amazing with 5 minute lines to attractions.
I'm still pretty disappointed by jurassic flyers especially when compared to the other installations of that ride system it's meant to be a darkride and coaster hybrid and that doesn't even have one single show scene
I noticed that, why everything is so expensive?? that is even more expensive than HK disneyland and tokyo disneyland and USJ I lived in beijing for 1.5 years before (like 10 years ago) and holy cow, food in beijing (like a bowl of noodle) was like only 10-15rmb, and the price there is crazy for beijing's standard, wand is 350rmb?? that is like 50% more expensive than in japan right? now I thought about it, I think I understand the reason, if you want to position yourself as "luxury" brand in china, you need charge more (yeah, I am not kidding). in china, people perceive a brand on how expensive the brand is. cheap means bad quality, because they had so many cheap products from their factories, so people will trust the price, for them, expensive = better quality.
I'm so happy you finally uploaded your Beijing visit not many people have been able to visit the park. OMG the Kung Fu popcorn bucket was absolutely adorable! I wouldn't have resisted and take one with me. A question about the E-sim do you need to have your phone unlocked to use the e-sim?
The other director standing besaide Spielberg was Zhang Yimou, probably the greatest director in Chinese cinema who directed Raise the Red Lantern and Hero among others. He was a Golden Lion and Golden Bear winner.
Not gonna lie, I would give just about anything to be doing what you're doing 💜 Please, keep enjoying these amazing experiences around the world. If not for yourself, for those of us who can't yet 🥰
Hey! love the channel~ planning on a trip here this year! QQ, is there a reason why the wait que was ridiculously short? was it due to the weather? or is it naturally that short in Beijing? Thanks!
The Grimlock and Egg sipper and buckets are worth the trip! I'd love those! Definitely a Transformers kid, and one of my favorite characters is Omega Supreme.
I am so glad you explained that the Optimus Prime hat/mask wasn't big enough, cause that just seemed like must buy merch and would look just so right on you (based on other cute stuff you've worn) that not getting it would've been wild, but not fitting? Yes, silly to buy.
Which day did u go to universal studio, so less people. So I can plan that day too.I definitely won’t go on weekend. I have try Shanghai Disneyland on a Thursday was so pack. I cannot imagine it on weekend.
Hey TDR! Big fan of your content, I've loved watching your parks videos for quite some time. The quality to which you shoot your vlogs are astounding, you make filming these parks under adverse conditions appear effortless. That being said I have some constructive criticism, just want to offer a piece of my perspective that might help the experience for other audience members such as myself: Personally, I love theme parks and watch countless theme parks channels but don't get the chance to visit. A lot of my enjoyment is seeing these media franchises brought to life in a themed environment. Part of what I enjoy from other content creators is when they will bring up their experiences and their enjoyment of the franchise they are seeing represented in front of them. For example, I love in this video when you share that you grew up on Transformers and that your favorite was Bumblebee. I feel that you should incorporate more of that same connection in your videos in the future. If you like a franchise like Kung Fu Panda and you enter the merch store, just saying 'oh this Shifu merch is adorable' goes a long way to strengthening the connection between content creator and viewer. I understand that it's impossible to stay up to date and consume all the content made for the park ips you visit, but at least looking up the character names off camera or sharing your interest in pursuing the related content could go a long way. I love the personality of your videos and the craft to which you execute them, I just want to share my perspective to offer you some information on what goes through the mind of a viewer not fortunate enough to visit these parks, but caring enough about you and the characters to watch. With love ❤
I'm still thinking about that Toothless Ice Cream 🍦
🖤that toothless was Amazing
i m Beijing universal Studios employee thanks you for your support😊
the color looks so cool
If i may ask what day did you come to do park when you filmed the video? Are the number of visitors vary largely depending if its on a weekend or weekday? Since this is during winter is it still as crowded or less crowded as if it's in summer? sorry if im asking a lot, thank you!
@@harueikii definitely avoid summer vacations and national holidays, it is usually quite empty from tuesday to thursday.
The staff were so friendly and amazing, how wonderful how they treat everyone equally!
That Panda popcorn bucket is ADORABLE!
It really is!
Super helpful tips Chris, thank you! China has certainly required a lot of research but think I'm good for my trip in May! Great vlog as always 🥰
As an unapologetic fan of Waterworld, I can't believe that part of the Mariner's ship is on top of that restaurant.
I was so surprised, in a good way, when I saw there was a restaurant across the way from the show! Thank you for watching
26:18 The snow on the roofs in Harry Potter world makes me so happy. 💓

omg the fairy godmother was PERFECT

jurassic flyer does feels more awesome than it looks, especially at night, you can see the park from it, the view is wonderful!
finally😭😭😭i have been there one year ago, that’s really an unforgettable and amazing trip🎉
That Jurassic World ride is world class
23:00 I think that’s the Glee version of “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” 😂
The inside of the waterworld restaurants decor looks like the Krusty Krab and no one can say otherwise
Hubby was-and still is on OG Transformers fan! His whole office is full of his collectibles and vintage toys. He's a complete Optimus Prime Stan.🎉
I love that! I have a few of the vintage toys still somewhere. Anything with Bumblebee I'm there. Thank you for watching!
Ppanning to visit China and tbis video is VERY detailed with the routes and all. Thank you!
Incredible video. First time catching your channel. You have a real gift for what you do. We have done Paris and hope to make it to the Chinese and Japanese Parks in the near future. Thank you !
Thanks! I really want to go there. ❤
Thank you! I hope you get to visit one day.
The ice cream is a collab with a Chinese game Honor of Kings.
I was a Transformers kid, sadly I never really had any toys of them as a kid. But my favorite is and always will be the King of the Dinobots, Grimlock!
Mañana voy para allá. Estoy ahora en Beigin espero sea un día extraordinario 😊

There was only 5-10 minutes to wait for his first attraction before 9 o'clock. Later on the queue becomes longer.
Yay! Thank you for another video ❤ love watching your channel!
Thank you for watching, Lauren!
I am a fan of your videos. Very informative and do fun to watch. Japan really knows how to do Disney right. Keep up the great job.😊💛
Beijing is the capitalism of China. And Universal Studios is a competitor of Disney. They are not connected and are rivals
China
這是中国

I liked to go along with you. The rides look great. I love all the merchandise. It would be difficult not to spend too much. ❣️🛒
I'm only at the beginning but the jurassic world ride is AMAZING!!
It was fantastic.
Can’t wait to see the How to train your dragon show in epic
I guess you haven’t lived in Australia where we don’t get snow during the festival period.
five minute wait for that badass Jurassic Park ride
This is epic much better than anything we have in america or Japan
Thank you for watching!
Nahh..... Can't be compared to Japan....it's much more iconic and better
@Enid-qz2eh have you been to the Japan parks because I have many times and in america i lived near disney world
Thanks for another great video and overview of the park. Do you think you could do the park in one day as a solo adult in say October/November?
Wonderful video! I am so excited to visit one day ❤
Thank you so much! Your video was incredibly useful. Just a question - which app were you using to see the ride wait times?
Thank you for sharing! We will be in Beijing in May and hope to make it there! What days of the week were you there? Am hoping it will be emptier midweek! ❤
Universal China is huge 😮😮😮
Hey Chris, again another excellent park tour! Do you happen to have a link for the translation app you use?
It’s called DeepL. I like it cause it’s more accurate and from what I noticed wasn’t blocked from the firewall if you were online (and the VPN not working sometimes) I forgot to put it in the description. Thank you for the reminder!
I would love to visit Hong Kong and go to the amusement parks.

Welcome to Universal Studios Beijing!
Thank you!
Hi, may I ask where to download the Universal Studio Beijing app? From Android thanks.
Thank you so much for this coverage 🙏
That is such a cute toothless ice cream ahhhh
Hi Chris! Just curious, why was the park so empty? Is it because of the season, or was it a day for press only? What am I missing 😂 Looks amazing with 5 minute lines to attractions.
Thanks for sharing this videos to us.

How much for the ticket?
A waterworld-themed restaurant when the film is all about eating sludge hahhaha
free, nice
Great video. Does google pay or visa, master card work in China?
What camera do you use for vlogging ??
I didn’t know there’s Universal Studios in Beijing. Is this new?
It opened since 2021. It is the newest, but not so new~
I'm still pretty disappointed by jurassic flyers especially when compared to the other installations of that ride system it's meant to be a darkride and coaster hybrid and that doesn't even have one single show scene

Wait why does it still look like Christmas even tho its already march
This was filmed December 22nd and 23rd in the parks
I'm so confused on the pricing for merch. Is it Singapore dollars? If it is a headpiece is like $130 US
It's Chinese Yuan
@@tdrexplorer one yuan equals approx 14 cents US! so the transformers mask/hat combo is about $32!
Not 100% because I don’t play the game but the ice cream looks like a collaboration with genshin impact.
Pina Colada Toothless Pop
That was a Brooklyn accent! 😂
Was it? haha, thank you.
These prices r ridiculous
Megatron
Why is it still Christmas?
If there was no facial recognition, I would book my ticket.
I think that Universal should switch to Pepsi.
Thank you for watching! Yes, for e-sims you need an unlocked phone.
The other director standing besaide Spielberg was Zhang Yimou, probably the greatest director in Chinese cinema who directed Raise the Red Lantern and Hero among others. He was a Golden Lion and Golden Bear winner.
ya can't even escape mariah carey in xmas even in beijing
NOPE! hahahah
I got legit goosebumps seeing Hiccup and Toothless fly down like that. ❤❤
I audibly gasped when you walked into the giant Kung Fu Panda room, it looked so cool in there. I didn’t expect it to be a full indoor land.
Not gonna lie, I would give just about anything to be doing what you're doing 💜 Please, keep enjoying these amazing experiences around the world. If not for yourself, for those of us who can't yet 🥰
Thank you so much for watching! I'm grateful that I'm able to share these experiences here with everyone.
Chris, thank you for this great vlog. What an amazing park and adorable merchandise!
tha kungfu panda popcorn bucket is too much.... feeling furious that i can't have them all
Finally!!! been waiting for this!! thank you for this video!!🤗
Hey! love the channel~ planning on a trip here this year! QQ, is there a reason why the wait que was ridiculously short? was it due to the weather? or is it naturally that short in Beijing? Thanks!
I am the first here for this comment, I am so excited and a big fan :) I work for a special mouse and would love to visit a universal :)
Thank you for being here!
The ice-cream collaboration is with Universal Studios and a mobile game called 王者荣耀, very similar to League Of Legends, but the Chinese version.
amazing video wow mind blown. it's cold there in Beijing during this time i went to Beijing Years ago Someday my family and i will go back there.
I SO wanna live in the kung fu panda house omg!!! it loosk sogorgeous and it's always night
Wow. Universal Studios Beijing looks great. I love that there is a kungfu panda area. ❤ I enjoy the video. Thank you for sharing
Wow..that looks amazing! Thanks for sharing. May i ask what camera/gear are you using please? Thanks. 😊
Never knew I grew up living 20mins away from universal studio Beijing haha😂
The Grimlock and Egg sipper and buckets are worth the trip! I'd love those! Definitely a Transformers kid, and one of my favorite characters is Omega Supreme.

The Jurassic World ride just made me think of Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Just with better animatronics
That fairy godmother is 🔥
So happy to see you visit a theme park in my hometown when i'm in canada right now. Amazing video!
Thanks!
Thank you for watching! ❤
Relieved (no pun intended) that Waterworld didn’t have any themed drinks.
watching this just made me miss christmas so much! i love this time of year
this is now on my must see list.
Starscream and sideways were my favorite
