I'm just aiming for her because I like her design. The fact she's a great quick looper is pretty nice as a bonus, though :)
Okita doesn't need to use swap to loop. She is one of 3 BG loopers on quick that don't use swap. Just double summer skadi. You use 2k4 on turn 1 and they refund 100%. This works even neutral with normal first wave hp.
The other two are Charlemagne and Daikokuten.
Though all 3 are dicey on berserkers and the sabers are as well on assassins.

Also Daikokuten can definitely loop assassin since that's a class she is effective against
I mean, most Art/Quick loopers are dicey whenever Zerker/Assassin are involved anyways.

People underestimate Caren’s strength in the quick meta, both farming and difficult fights are a possibility.
I'll probably get her as I'm going for np5 Anastasia but I'll still be happy as she usually have some of my favourite np but my main goals are np5 Anastasia and kama
Other players' reason to get her: All these technicalities, strategies and meta(?)
My motivation: Her NP just looks cool, man :D
Will Okita Alter banner still be up when Summer Kama arrives?

actually for art you can use nero bride , castoria and pick whatever you like for looping it works pretty well , especially if you have nero bond ce
Even waver + castoria is enough for 6-slot most times.
I don't have a Skadi of my own and am frequently surprised at what Okitan is capable of with just a support Skadi. She does need a little more strategy without the double Skadi but still can clear waves like a pro.
I like her design and np animation ALOT. But probably going to skip, I have muramasa and Castoria but I don't have skadi(only been playing for 260 days). I will throw some tickets at Kama instead, don't have a proper avenger yet and I like her ac3 animations.
If I don’t have skadi, does caster artoria + support skadi work?
So i am huge og okita fan so obviously i also like okitan but maaan i barely have any rolls and i would prefer to use them on kama.

Idk, as much as Summer Kama’s kit is more creative on paper with all the charm/Debuff synergies, in practice the only gameplay thing that people cared about was that she was SpIstar with a bit less damage but a quicker np animation with the charm basically being an rng damage steroid like SpIshtar’s random rainbow buffs. I do still think Okitan is less unique, but not by that large of a margin. (Unless you mean current JP summer and not the Rengoku release event, if so ignore this comment)
Lakshmibai does get a legitimately great buff that massively improved her uptime and looping abilities. It’s still a good ways off, but she’s an effective workhorse afterwards with some pretty good solo potential and support capabilities.
lackshimi bai is more for challenge content than farming anyway and for solo , but peoples nowadays thinks every damn aoe gotta loop , some are just NOT made for that and that is because of that mindset that lasagna have been throwing lame battery buff to every thing

Honestly the fact that I'm more interested in the second summer 6 banner, and going to go hard on Charlie's banner anyways, is why I'll only throw a couple tickets on hers.
Kinda the opposite for me. Between Muramasa, Sieg, Summer Musashi, and Mooncancer Kiara I’m really not in the market for another AOE arts servant unless I love the character and while I like Kama I don’t love her. Plus her banner definitely has the weaker four stars on rate up.

I do know that Summer Anastasia and Summer Corday are great servants, but honestly prefer Summer Sei and Summer Caenis. And even though I have Space Ishtar, Da Vinci Lily and Muramasa, I still want Summer Kama for Waifu reasons first and foremost.
I'm a "design over gameplay" kind of guy. 😀

I'm rolling for Summer Anastasia and Charlotte and Okita happens to be on the same banner as them. She'll make for a nice bonus lol
as someone who doesnt have Vitch, Castoria or Oberon(im just coming back after burning out hard on ouko in 2021), but does have Skadi she is tempting, but im going to be rolling on Vitch's next banner, and even if i don't get her, Charlie is a good back up plan (and i also do want Kriemhild)
Now that I think abt it, why isnt there much aoe quick sabers besides Lakshimibai🤔

a worthwhile note to keep too is that, while a very expensive to field, a triple skadi team can also function very well for enabling aoe quick loopers farm, making okitan (as well as some others - dantes, caren, etc.) be able to comfortably run black grail or other 0-charge CEs. the standard problems of quick still apply, like needing a 3/3/x (2/2/x, and only for some of the best ones, at most) enemy layouts, but hey, thats something
My plan at the moment is to hold until the next Castoria Banner, then wait for the Lostbelt 7 servants. My targets are Kukulkan and Tezcatlipoca, then wait for the FGO Arcade event and get Tiamat.
i don't even have skadi, but i want this okita so much that i just gotta go for it, hoping to make her work somehow
even without skadi she is pretty stupid in cq and you can loop with support skadi/castoria

You mentioned Charlemagne briefly, but I'm kind of curious if there's any meaningful differences between them that would make you place one above the other. I was gonna say I like Okitan more for that defensive buff removal, but then I saw that 12 hit np on Charley and that sounds wild.
The 12 hits are good but his NP gain is naturally lower than Okita’s. Charlemagne’s kit is also a bit more niche than Okita’s where he doesn’t get certain buffs unless he’s attacked or doesn’t have invincibility. That shouldn’t be a problem for farming 3x3 nodes but it lowers his general DPS ceiling compared to Okita.
summer okitan has higher dmg and better np gain than charlemagne , higher atk stat too and better survavibility and no restriction tied to it , cause when you use charlie's invul on him , he np seal himself
All things considered I am very interested. Quick looping has always been really fun and satisfying for me because you could always followup with extra crits afterwards. Okita Summer looks like an interesting pickup that I really want.
Well even this isn’t strictly quick only anymore. Buster farming has so many star bomb skill you don’t even need to generate stars from np.
Quick really needs even more rework than mighty chain.
@@sentryion3106I think they’re at a decent enough level as far as farming goes. Having access to two 50% battery Quick supporters really helps out for their overall consistency and while Buster loopers can definitely crit too, they don’t crit nearly as hard, especially with Summer Skadi. To begin with, you’re not really buster looping if you’re lacking in damage because the buff numbers are not where it’s at
@@sentryion3106 that's true but I they are usually one turn effects and you often don't use the crits the same turns you NP. At least with most quick NPs that are spammable you can get a chunk of stars for any follow up turns. Does this make Quick looping better? Not really but it's still something I really like. Plus the crits can feed into another NP on an Arts or Quick card.
@@sentryion3106 they are good right now (always have been , just peoples bitching since art came out) and star bomb and star per turn are a thing for quick and 3 50%ter each of them giving 100% crit for buster AND quick respectively vs only 50% with koyan , better dmg too from quick , i honestly dont know what you guys complaining want , maybe a quick support giving 100% smh
@@morsayxd4441 yea but look at what they are against. Arts is just broken from refund to survivability. Buster still sits strong as you don’t have to worry about number of enemies. Farming quick is shooting yourself in the foot because you have worse refund than arts and can’t reload like buster. Cq quick is also a pain since both skadi are not the greatest at survivability especially summer skadi.
Sure you can argue crit for min turn but it’s not like arts and buster don’t have a million different ways to generate stars and crit damage let alone now they do generally do more np damage in the first place.
Quick isn’t useless. As you said it’s still pretty good but you have to work harder to get it to work. This is not the case if you were to argue between arts and buster since their strengths and weaknesses are opposite to each other. Quick is just stuck in the middle trying to be both but end up adding up worse than just 1 of them.
You do know no one not even you far as I can tell ever follows the don't roll for this servant because of whatever reason you keep bringing up.
Just tested 3Skadi with BGrail....
LV 90 SOkiAlter, NP1, 1/10/5 skills, 0/10/0 Append, BGrail lv 20 not MLB on the Max level Treasure Vault Daily for QP. Wave 1 got me 97% NP Refund!!! She is absolutely insane!
I used my five tickets on her banner and got her on the 5th one. (Free to play luck)
I love her design and with that video, I know I'm investing my ressources on a good servant.

Good question. It's because they often change skill/NP names for the NA server and I'd rather avoid the extra confusion.

I'll be blunt: I don't like Summer Skadi _because_ Lasagna refused to properly give Quick their version of Castoria, or hell even Merlin as a solid defensive option for the Card Type. She's just .... full of _grossly_ wasted potential I won't get into here. However, I didn't realize her existence allowed people with her and OG Skadi to essentially mooch Quick Loopers for minimal cost if need be, and she is still a 50% NP + Card Type Buffer at the end of the day, one more for Quick than any of the others have. For now I'll tolerate her existence a bit more in light of this.
As for Okita Alter.... *Shrugs* well, she's just plain good. Great, even. A Quick Unit able to Loop w/ Black Grail in any capacity is a miracle of miracles, and being able to make the most of her Crit Stars when need is a nice touch. Even Saber Artoria, a *5 Star that can be gotten off the Free Ticket and who has a metric shit-ton of buffs, can't do everything Okkie Dokkie can and still stand tall in what strengths they share, which is highly commendable. Problem is that Quick still sucks a big one compared to the same effort you could put into Buster or Arts Teams (or Hybrids thereof), so until the time comes that a Proper Super Skadi for Quick is made Okita Alter will forever be in the shadow of titans.
lol she only gets outperformed by Buster and Arts when they use Oberon, with Oberon she outdoes the normal Double Vitch Oberon Cranking Buster teams as well as Double Castoria Oberon Black Grail Muramusa.
She's top AOE Saber at release and Summer Skadi makes her much stronger, when Rising Mud Rain (good luck getting 5 copies) comes out that lets Mordred and Artoria jump over her.
8th Anni buffs allows Salter to go to the top while Kuro gives Mordred/Artoria stupid damage (Wave 3 NP1 Mordred hitting neutral for 529k vs Melusine 440k) as long as they start with 3 on wave 1.
A quick merlin would be just as useless as normal merlin.
You do CQs like once a month not multiple times daily like farming.
You can even skip with commands and cubes.
Quick castoria would save quicks allowing 2 aoe comps.
Sadly summer skadi is better with castoria and an arts looper as a wave 1 clearer than quick servants.
I would summon for her but I already have Caren so I don't need another quick looper.
While I am excited for summer Okita alter and the rest of the summer servants, I am still waiting for another 5* variant of OG Okita.

My goal is summer Anastasia hopefully i can pick Okitan along the way.
Her and Dantes will be the best Quick loopers available until Caren gets her NP upgrade next year and just leapfrogs everyone in the type.
Sadly I was only able to get her at NP1.
As a NP 3 okita summer alter holder with a caster skadi she's able to loop just about any class besides archer

Original Okita Alter was a good choice for Buster setups, but the meta switched to Quick. Now she returns as a great choice for Quick farming, only for Buster and Arts to now rule the roost instead. Girl's just destined to always be an off-meta pro I guess.
Nowadays, OG Okita Alter is just as viable for Buster looping with Koyanskaya isn't she? Sure you'd still need Oberon or any other third charger, but yeah. :D

Pulled a couple summonings wanting anastasia, got spooked by okitan instead😂😂 meanwhile about over 200 summons for summer Kama (about 8 months saving + a pack) and she didnt answer my summons 🥲
I have the weirdest luck, back in saber wars i decided to do a couple pulls for calamity Jane, ended up getting NP2 space ishitar and 0 jane (suffering from success Imguess?)🤦🤷
You know what would make this game 120% better? If they gave us a free "you get whatever cards you want for one turn per mission" button. Because think of this, say you have a 3/1/3 Lancer node. IF Okitan has her face cards in wave 2, then she can facecard it and use her NPs on the other two waves, making it easier to balance her out. If she _doesn't_ get good face cards that wave, then she has no options other than to AoE NP it and hope for the best. But if you have this button to guarantee the right face cards, then it makes this set-up as smooth as a traditional 3/3/3 farming wave.
Yes, this would be a massive balance change, but I think it opens up SO many possibilities, and benefits SO many characters.
Well … I guess I bit the bullet on my friends list 😂I have np6 Okitan but that’s cause i was trying to get np2 Ana … she’s still np1 but I’m also planning on pulling for Charlie so idk anymore …
Ended up with both NP2 Okitan, NP3 Ana and NP0 Charlotte (which was okay as I wasn't aiming for her anyway) so no complaints.
Edit: Been using her to farm both the 90 and 90+ node for the event (I have both Oberon and Skadi). Runs are smooth as glass.

The same can be said for art supports where you (mostly) don't need 2 castorias, instead you can use 1 castoria and 1 Xu Fu (may have to run the mystic code that gives np gen and np damage, and a 50% ce with np gen. Might be a bit but free up the support slot for whoever).

As a quick connoisseur, I find it hard to summon for her on NA for looping now that Edmond Dantes has gotten his own 30% battery more than a year earlier, so against neutral enemies he's better both in damage, and refund with a black grail. When facing bosses she's cooking with her invul, while Dantes is left praying that if they get their full gauge after popping a bar, they aren't AoE or immune to Gandr
Looking forward to rolling for everyone on banner 1, since I wanted Okita Alter for the longest, plus it comes with two good SR units.
As much as I want Summer Kama, I already have S.Ishtar, and with Kama being the only good thing on that banner, it's a high risk for me.

Yep, and I am 1 Okitan and 3 F-ING Charlotte's in with no Anastasia, I do NOT want to give this rip off of a game any money, but my sanity is slowly slipping after doing 3 initial multi's, who knows how many singles (Which Okitan came from...), and multi's gained from ruthlessly farming Bond levels....
