Next time you gill hook a fish use Gatorade, Aquarius or Pocari sweat, whatever electrolyte you have that contains sugar, the sugar will cauterize the wound. It’s worked for me a few times when catching large fish that are wound sensitive like pelagics. Just hold the fish’s mouth open and pour the drink onto the gills, hold for a few seconds then dunk it in the water.
So sugar is hemostatic to fish?

Wow Cavy what a awsome place bro I'm a fish guy and when you guy's did a couple releases I was tripping on the tropicals and corals on that ledge. Way to cool and it wasn't your day,but your buddies killed it the double Bluefins were nice. This was a great video. ✌🐟🐟🐟
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

I swim with all fish to make sure they swim off , if not I always swim down and take them , unlike a lot of people. Though I still do respect the thoughts! And with tuna you gotta be quick!!!! Maybe you noticed me in the video trying to rush them on , was tough though because the tuna took the whole lure!!!
