There's one very glaring design flaw. The ports are above the heat vent. Cables plugged in will naturally droop down and over time will get cooked and stiffen. Anyone whose owned a projector knows these vents get very hot. The newer XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro has ports below it.
@@Techtablets I am sorry for asking this question but it's just I am convinced with Halo+ but when I think of connectivity and ecosystem, Samsung wins because of the ecosystem, I use Samsung Phone, Watch and Tablet, do you think that it will play any role, how's the over picture quality of Samsung vs Halo+?
I had that epson. Sound was incredible. Design was incredible - nicest looking/feeling projector I've ever owned. BUT, the image was seriously underwhelming. "Flat" is the word I'd use, on any setting or calibration. Sent it back.
can i use this to play xbox? & what about watching amazon prime movies & disney plus? - how would i go around doing all of that? - it not is there a projector as good as this one that you would recommend instead?
Awesome review. Torn between this model for camping use, but unsure if it's bright enough for use in a camper, that'll be shaded during the day?? The Horizon 1080p looks amazing and much better value, and doesn't look too much much larger, thou is it fragile for outdoors use, or is it the same in terms of robustness as the Halo plus? Can with handle general outdoors, heat, humidity, etc... Cheers
Hello, great video. The last Halo only had VERTICAL Keystone correction, seems this Plus one has both vertical AND horizontal keystone correction? Also, you mention the horizon was better, but the cheaper horizon only has Vertical correction, correct? Thanks!
Will somebody talk about the pronounced green tint when you set the projector in performance mode? I watched a lot of reviews and no one talks about it. I bought one recently and this is very annoying, does anybody knows how to fix this? I asked XGIMI and they said they weren’t aware of this problem, altought I see everybody have it. Can someone advise on this? Thanks.
Im thinking of getting this for an outdoor bar area - but it will be sat an inside covered area as will the screen. Will this do the job in your opinion ? I have no experience with projectors at all by the way. I dont wanna go to crazy on price but not cheap either. Thanks in advance.
For an outdoor area with some ambient lights on, you at least need 1500 lumens. Your best bet would be to get the Xgimi Horizon which has 2200 ANSI lumens. The 900 on this portable projector will be too dim for your viewing.
Is there a better alternative to this, image quality wise, that keeps all the bells and whistles (HDR+, low input lag, 60hz or more) on a similar price range?
@@Techtablets its dmd chip is 540p but uses pixelshift to get to 1080p its a trick thats exist for few years now same with 4k projector under 3k € those have 1080p dmd chip with 4k pixelshift i have one and image is bit sharper then 1080p without pixelshift/xpr but definitely not 100% 4k sharpness
Here is the suggestion I got from Xgimi service team. There are two ways to enjoy Netflix on our product. 1) We recommend you use TV Stick to start Netflix. 2) Without a TV Stick, follow these steps to install Netflix: un. Download "Desktopmanager" (no spaces between words) from the Google Play Store. B. Install Netflix in Desktopmanager (Note: If you downloaded NETFLIX directly from the Google Play Store, uninstall it first. Also, NEVER update the NETFLIX app you just downloaded. nice one, i like it 👍 my wishlist is already full with stuff reviewed on this channel 😂
A large wish list then 😀
I honestly prefer XGIMI's solid colors and smooth texture compared to other designs.

I wish the MoGo had built-in battery
Can i unzoom / zoom picture size??
Can you use chromecast with this projektor?
How about Powerpoint Presentations ??
You can download APK in this?
Does it have chrome browser?
Would you recommend this over the previous model for 200€ more? Can get the normal Halo for 630€ with a stand.
ITS Not Worth the Money !! Go for the normal Halo - Trust me !!
@@Mile19825 do you own them both?
@@WillKoz No iam Not own Both, but i saw many Tests. The Difference is so minimal - even the + is a little More brighter !!
I am seriously confused between the Halo+ and Samsung Gen 2, universe please advise!! ;)
Halo+ is the one to get

Hello, how does this compare to the mogo 2 pro? Which is better as far as ease of setup and video quality?
This is the brighter of the two. Both the same to set up Android TV.
@@Techtablets ok excellent do you know how the mogo 2 compares to the dice projector
Sir i have two questions
1 can we project it on wall
2 can it project 200 inch
how is this one compared to the EPSON ef-12?
I had that epson. Sound was incredible. Design was incredible - nicest looking/feeling projector I've ever owned. BUT, the image was seriously underwhelming. "Flat" is the word I'd use, on any setting or calibration. Sent it back.
Can you connect a USB-C Hub on this one and charge using a powerbank + using external drive at the same time?
Nice review..Can you project the screen of your phone I mean the apps also
The price is hefty though, I think I'd probably still go with a formovie / wemax dice
It is a bit yes but a nice solid projector.
Check xgimi Elfin as comparison
Is it worth upgrading from the mogo pro?

Hi, great review, may I ask for the price range of 800€ what u suggest for picture quality? thanks
Is this compatible with just an iPhone using hotspot? I only have 4G, no WiFi.
Yes use your hotspot. I might not be fast but it will work.

Is it Bluetooth if so, can it connect to phone plus headphones ? (I live with siblings and I don’t want to disturb them with noise)
Which APK version of Netflix did you download? Thanks!
Desktop manager is the name
I need to know the throw distance....

Can you use it as a speaker? like normal Harman Kardon wireless speaker
I'd like to know this too. Can you use it as a bluetooth speaker without the projector functionality on?

Does It support 4k? If It does how Is the upscaling?
It will down scale 4K to 1080p
Does this model have a built battery?
Yea 59W hours as mentioned in the video and it last around 2.5 hours so enough for most movies
Is there a better alternative to this, image quality wise, that keeps all the bells and whistles (HDR+, low input lag, 60hz or more) on a similar price range?
nope
Wondering how much value for money you get for this vs the viewsonic M2 which has USBC, bluetooth etc…
Would have been nice if you stated output for speakers vs previous model… 🤷🏻♂️
Xgimi halo+ vs nebula capsule 3 vs nebula mars 3 air ?
Yeah! I want to know this too!
Does this have. A browser
How does it compare to the XGIMI Horizon and Elfin?
The Horizon I’ve also reviewed is much better than this a sharper image and not that minor grain or noise in deep blacks
@@Techtablets Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
@@Techtablets is the horizon battery powered?
Greate review! I was convinced by Nebula Capsule 3 and liked very much your review about it. Could you compare them both?
This brighter but I found the image quality on the Capsule is better.
@@Techtablets Thanks, good to know! Greetings from Spain 😉
Isn't mijia laser projector not a better option in all respects except portability?
Yes but if you needed the portability and battery this is the reason to get this one.
Still don’t have an USB-powerdelivery-input and a NETFLIX-Licence…😕
Nope sadly it doesn't with the port. But yes Netflix is 1080p you need to just update the APK.
Sadly still battery is to short and still the native 540p chip
Native 540p? Not it's 1080p defiantly the image I'm looking at isn't 540p or 720p upscaled.

for the price samsung freestyle seems much better, isnt it?
I really don't think so. Freestyle is quite laggy for the slow response speed.
I think this one is better.
Freestyle got less ANSI lumens and no internal battery, only esternal battery pack for additional costs.
