This game was my childhood. I had a monkey with an orange head. His name was Slumpy. And boy, am I proud of him. He maxed a lot of his gag tracks, and got very far with his cog disguises. I remember getting sucked into this game for hours and rejoicing every time I unlocked a new area. It was an adventure. An adventure of discovery, laughter, and companionship. I say speedchat plus made it better. My most cherished memory of the game was New Year's 2008/2009. I had a toontask to defeat 100 five-story cog buildings. I stayed up all night that night working on it. During that time, I made so many friends. I met a lot of wonderful people, we talked about ourselves, made jokes about how tired we all were, and had an excellent time. I got 81 buildings done that night. After my 81st, I collapsed at my desk. Totally worth it. I miss this game very much. More importantly, I miss Slumpy very much.
It's a bit hard at the beginning, but once I got used to my toon it really felt like original slate. When I maxed gardening I've got a toon statue and I pretended it was a gravestone for original slate though. :( But most of the time I'm ok because it really is my toon. My toon is not just a code on disney's servers, he is the energy I have when we play together, and the memories we create. It doesn't matter what server he is on, it's still him. The fact that he was back to 15 laff was just a chance for us to go into even more adventures. And the TTR storyline is like something that continues the TTO story, so if you follow it you can eventually explain why your toon was back to 15 laff again.
I agree to that. I just finished my Toontown Central tasks. And now that I have a momentum going, I'm getting excited. Already the game is looking better than how Disney left it. Especially the remodel Bossbot hq!
Glad you liked it. :) And yeah we try to pick up where disney stopped, since a few years ago they stopped making any new updates other than small things.
Three things come to mind when I watch this...Jackson ( I had a crush on him back then...who has a crush on a Disney Channel reporter??? who???), nostalgia, and Phil Phil of the future he's a 22nd century man....now to go watch the theme song...because I've got to. I have no choice now.
I remember when Disney used to actually do stuff like this: MASS ADVERTISING AND EVENTS FOR TOONTOWN. I remember when I used to go onto websites and there would be an ad for Toontown on the edge of the screen. I remember when I got my invitation to the Toonfests and my mom always said that i couldnt go since I lived on the opposite side of the country. Disney actually CARED. Now, they've just let their game go completely downhill. There's too many hackers, too many rude toons, and too many NOOB
My friend remembered him when I took her to the movie. She said she thought he was cute then too. I was like, how could you have thought this manically happy psycho was cute but whatever. And he's comparing himself to the guy in Phil of the Future and now he has his own million female fanbase. BAHAHAHA.. it doesn't get much better than that.
omg toontown! i went to epcot 4 yrs ago when it was state of the art disney stuff lol i played tag on it and i love it but i'm not sure if you can get it in the uk. either way you can still play a 3 day trial...
oh my goodness, i would never ever in a million bajjillion years have reconised him if people didnt say anything. i cant beleive he did disney 411?!?!?!
I think he was 20. I know he's 23 [going on 24 December 21st! My age, yay!] and there's another interview he does with Aly and AJ from 2005 in regards to the Disney Mania 3 CD [released February 2005]. So if this is around the same time, he was about 20 years old.
Ah, I remember. I remember when everyone use to play, and it was fun. Now, all of the good people quit, and there are too many hackers. Where did my childhood go??
True, true. I remember the toonfest, and I begged my mom to go, but she said next year. there was never a next year. Basically, after the chat came out, was the downfall of toontown. Before the chat, I used to play this game 10 hours a day, nonstop. ( I was a little addicted ) now, there are to many hackers, 5 year olds, and no lives playing.
#whendisneycared
crazy turlin LOL
"Best toontown players from all over the country"... *Cracks knuckles, challenge accepted
I remember watching this when it was on TV so many years ago. I miss those old disney stars. So much better than the one;s they have today.
Just "Disney 411" brings back so many memories. Can't believe it's been over 10 years, doesn't feel like it at all.
Jackson: Do you play toontown online?
Pim: Yes I do... constantly.
*LIES*
Is Pim Amy Bruckner?

***** Why not join Toontown Rewritten? :)
Slate And Friends Actually, I did. And I re-created Slumpy exactly as he was when I started. It's very surreal with all his stuff gone.
