Just learned of this band and can't stop listening to them. A reviewer calls their newest album 'Hynms for the Broken' their best work ever. The singer has an awesome sounding voice.
SavatageIsMyReligion I did get In Search for Truth and Recreation Day. They are both better than Hymns for the Broken, but I'd say that those two records are great albums of songs. Hard to beat. Hymns is very good!

Apparently you guys all take my comment way too seriously. I play bass too, I'm just saying that bass is frequently the more ignored part of the band. The bassist of a band actually frequently doesn't appear in videos and is ignored. My statement was more of a statement of unfortunate truth than one of insult.
nah man your jelous cos you wanna be a rockstar, Nickleback are commercial yes only becuase allot of people dig their songs, plus a real music fan would not slag of anothers just cos they think they are 'cooler' so to sum up either listen to it watch it or own it but dont hate on it.
The band is good and all (especially the singer! Awesome!) but the FUCKING camera guy does not show the Michal on the bass except in the last 30 seconds (probably he just noted him). Well that was enough for me to catch that he plays plectrum and not finger...
Nickelback are commercial because the masses enjoy talentless, annoying, overplayed bullshit. And "hating on it" only applies if we're discussing some r & b bullshit.
@Greensmurf Yeah I am really bummed about that, I am sure it'll be tough but I hope they manage to fill those spaces with musicians that are even better than the originals, Evergrey is a great band but I feel like Henrick leaving could potentially do some serious damage. It could also be a great opportunity though... man but three people leave, plus the previous drummer, I wonder if Tom is a total asshole to work with... well he's a genius either way.
Ok, well, its amazing how they can take a relatively simple (maybe kind of stupid to some) idea and turn it into a complex, emotional album. Its turns the idea into something different entirely, something more complex, and more interesting.
Ive research information about triangle on the sun and this is what i've found. Interesting! Check out the triangle, its secound time in this year, goverments are saying nothing about that.

Well I have already heard Henrick's new band and I like Henrick but am not a huge fan of death metal, I still listen to them occasionally. Good to know there is know that they didn't hate each other though, it's always sad when things work out that way.
I'm disappointed from the last two albums..... especially from Monday Morning Apocalypse They have too....I mean too much influance from Alter Bridge........ even Alter Bridge have song called Broken Wings long time before Evergrey.... I wish they could make albums like In Inner Curcle.....one of the best albums I had listened in my life

Man are you serious?Alter Bridge are completely different.I listen to Evergrey for years and never heard a band even at half as good and unigue as them.I agree that Inner Circle is one of the best albums ever.Not only Evergrey's.
@stiltonchees It wasn't that really at all. There is a video on the site with the current and previous members stating why they're splitting, and how it's under very good terms. They're still very good friends, but after seeing the same face constantly on the tours, it can start to get stale. they did it to save their friendship
there is a differnce from old to new stuff but i think Torn is a good album regardless, seems to have more in common with the older stuff than the previous album
Hey I just stumbled across Evergrey and I really like what I'm hearing. Especially how they've managed to get a very unique sound that doesn't quite stick to one particular sub genre of metal. Does anyone know if this clip is from a DVD they released? If so I'd really want to buy it. Also, if I may throw in my two cents on comparisons, this particular song shares some elements from Dragonland's last two albums (they even play Caparison guitars)

Well Tom Englund (vocals and guitar player) produced the last 2 Dragonland albums. That might be why you hear a similarity.
